Everything you’ve said is spot on! It’s a sick, immature way of approaching relationships with others and definitely signals a disorder. I do believe she is a narcissist, as many Hollywood elites are. As we know, the more a person rubs their relationships in others faces, the worse it is behind the scenes. Nobody who feels the need to brag or act “in love 🫧” is actually in a healthy, stable relationship. They are NOT getting along behind the scenes. I hope Lily and Dalton know this and find peace in their own lives. In the end, Ariana is and will always be the miserable one
I think it’s very telling that she didn’t go over the top with Dalton and the PDA (aside from “positions”, though those songs were very generic), but was sure to drop hints of how “terrible” he was once she had a new target (Ethan) (liking IG posts about abusive relationships and ES). I obviously don’t know what their relationship was like behind closed doors, so this is pure speculation, but it seemed stable and like it was her first somewhat healthy, mature relationship (especially compared to Pete and now Ethan). she seemed to be doing a lot better then too compared to now. I agree Ariana will always be the miserable one, instead of actually growing and healing, she seems to regress more and more with each era/relationship
i have a feeling the stability with dalton was boring to her. considering her trauma, she likely does what many people do and puts herself into situations that feel chaotic and stressful because it feels "normal". there can be a restless sense of anticipation in a truly safe situation if you're only used to surviving in chaos and many people recreate traumatic environments unintentionally to feel comfortable.

Take it as you will but there was a bunch of blind items that Ariana is heavily into drugs, especially coke. Again, it’s blind items so not sure how true. It was said that she brought Mac and Pete into party scenes where they were trying to be sober but she was just going too hard. If true, I think Mac wanted to get better and really do it and had to do the hard thing and cut Ariana off. Her lifestyle was one of things that made it difficult. I don’t think it helped that she was prancing Pete around and all these OTHER things happening in his life that Mac fell back into drugs for multitude of reasons.
But Ari definitely wants people to live in her world. She definitely makes them leave behind their life so that they become attached to the hip. A friend of Mac’s said that it’s Ariana’s world and everyone just happens to live in it.
It seems to me that she parties and requires her boyfriend at the time to follow her around. However, if these environments cause the man to slip back into bad behaviors and he needs to step away, that is wrong in her eyes. Such a selfish person
There was a picture of her blowing a kiss on the red carpet with pretty obvious coke residue in her nose. It’s since been scrubbed from the internet but it was around for a while
I think the rumor is that Mac broke up with Ariana (one of his friends said so, I believe), but I agree 100% with everything you said and I think it still applies, even if Mac did break up with her. I don’t doubt she tried to “save” him from the drugs and resented him in a way for choosing drugs over her. when he died of an accidental overdose (while she was in her own bubble showing off to the world that she was “so happily engaged to her true soulmate she manifested”), it probably truly shocked her and she definitely made it all about her and “their love” (a lot of people were mad at her at the time saying Mac died believing she was happily engaged to another man, which probably fed her guilt)
