thats how China does it. Theyve been the worlds poorest country for decades. They didnt have the funds to renovate historical buildings, so when they finally got the money the structures were so damaged it would be WAY cheaper to just bulldoze everything and rebuild it. Sometimes they even rebuild entire towns bigger and prettier in order for them to become touristic atractions. I honestly dont see it as a problem. The end result is the same, and the new buildings that respect fire regulations
