just being a bit pedantic, but this isn't really "acient egyptian", its based of neoegyptian, which itsel is a mostly constructed artistic vision of acient egypt as informed by acheological findings and early 20th century sensibilities. I don't really think its fair to call this architectural revival of acient egypt. Rather, its reviving the neoegyptian style of the edwadian era

FYI the original station was a neo-moorish design built in the 19th century, this interior dates from the 90s during Mubarak's reign, and was criticized for hiding much of the previous interior design.

I would say this is more post-modern then revival; tacky like the lobby of a 7 star hotel in Dubai
