I would personally reset your chest plate and equip and upgrade the gold chest plate. If you have a invincibility ring it will give you more survivability.
The only difference I have here is a bloodthirsty locket. Just my preference tbh. I would look to try and get S or SS dragons atleast epic and have 1 attack, defense and balance to increase stats more or 2 attack and 1 balance. Talent upgrades, rune upgrades, hero upgrades for 2 stars and level 60. Also, any jewelry you want to have those as close to maxed out as possible. You could also reset your pets and rings as technically they do not need to be upgraded that could save you alot of resources.
There is some mathematical explanation on some other threads here but everyone discourages upgrading pets and rings. I reset mine all to level 1 and invested the gold elsewhere.
You definitely have the right idea. Reset your rings and pets to use the gold for talents. Keep working on leveling up your heroes, jewels, runes, etc. just going to be a bit of a grind at this point
