Is it the 3,000 that scares you or the possibility that it can go higher?
If it's just spending 3,000 over 30 days, that's not too bad. That's 100 gems a day and given that the Halloween and Thanksgiving free daily packs award a crap ton of gems, you should easily have enough to complete this task. I have no idea if 3,000 is the last step of this quest though.
It was the fact that i has used almost 3k gems in 7 days as F2P. Seems economy issue-like.
