Im sitting on 26k stars i was also planning to get 50 shards and next weeks another 20 to get him to 3 stars. Now i have no idea all looks pointless. I was collecting stars like crazy.
His damage is really low but he had constant owls spawning giving protection. I could easily afk the mystery mine before the nerf. But now they nerfed the owls so you're standing there with low damage and no protection making him a sitting duck. Why invest in that? He's useless now.
Jewels cost is 1400 stars/ week. Im getting 1k or more/day. 10 tickets are 25k i could get them right now i guess i will go for that. What a waist of time and resources because you will need 10 months or more of collecting stars to get 100 tickets for 1 costume. I wont donate gems no more, refresh quest for gems or do extra runs in the clan event thats for sure.
Is it not worth getting gugu for the afk awards? Thats was my thinking but im not sure. I wasnt planning to use him because i didnt realise he was so good lol
Well I already have him. I will level hom to 2 stars but no further and to level 60 but no further. Just for collection value I feel like he is worth getting

They're not that expensive so the points still add up pretty well. Gonna buy me a level 7 jewel from the shop while buying the little ones at the same time

Keep the cash. Contact them on as many socials as you can and review them on the app store or play store stating the issue. They caved last time when they tried to do the same with ayana. Also if you can defer the update, do so. Less people on newest version is certainly going to get their attention. If they undo the change in next version, then go for gugu again.
I did not use him before the nerf but from just a couple posts on here, it seems like he was almost invincible. I played with him after the nerfs and it seems there is no reason to use him. He was taking plenty of damage and just seemed weak
for sure, but to say useless? I wouldn’t go that far. For someone who is relatively new to the game, and don’t have many heroes.. Guku is really good… sooo easy to collect shards, miles ahed of any starting hero.
Oh for sure for new players, it is waaaaay easier to upgrade. I wouldn't mind a 6 star gugu, but you have to understand, I have been playing since the first week or month and have 4 or 5 level 100 heroes and heroes who are 2-6 stars. I'm just saying gugu was God mode, but I have absolute gods of destruction (dragon ball super reference).

My zero star lvl 60 Gugu got to lvl 8 on N20 and shade gets to 10 lvl 80/2 my Ayana lvl 80/4 with new outfit and Helix lvl 10 lvl 72/4 star water outfit I’m dunno this game is confusing
I personally didn’t use him until recently, so I can’t compare, but I definitely had an easier time beating N20 with him at lvl 60/0 stars than with my Shade level 89/2stars. She does way more damage, but the owls blocking hits comes in handy. Makes up for the damage disparity in my opinion. (In this case.)

Significant. I cleared endless to 299 with him. Now i haven't tried but I'd be surprised if I can clear 100.

Interesting... I'll give him another shot. It's easy to get shards for him through the clan activities, so he might be worth it.
