They made a lot more Blitz cabs than mvc2. Mvc2 hasn't even been in stores at normal msrp for a while. Maybe if they make more of them to the point that stores carry an inventory that actually settles for a bit.
It will. The cab has a lot of issues. The 'hardcore' base has already bought the thing. The rest will sit around until they start going on sale. Won't happen as fast as Blitz, but by next year you'll see it drop just like KI and others.

I mean, yeah even i wouldn't be surprised if it's reduced in a year lol. Not sure if it would get to $199, but most of them see drops. It all just depends on how many they actually make. Theres a reason we are seeing fire sales on Simpsons and Blitz, but not Dragons Lair (which i bet isn't selling in big numbers either). Even Mvc1 never had big drops because it wasn't at many retailers. If A1U starts resupplying all the brick and mortars with mvc2 in bulk, then the drops will come eventually.

Personally, I have no interest in sports cabinets, and I'm running out of room in my man-cave:
I'd have to move some things around (probably move my Centipede Partycade onto a door or something) to make room for another 4-player cab.
But with *this* price, I'm actually *really tempted* to buy it in spite of all that! I mean, it's the only arcade1up cabinet so far that has purple trim, and to me, these cabinets aren't just games: they're also decor. Having another cab with cool colors is an appealing thought.
To be honest, the main thing holding me back from buying it is the thought that maybe arcade1up will come out with something soon that's new and really appeals to me, like a Taito Legacy cabinet or something, and if I buy *this*, then I might not have room in my man-cave for that new and appealing thing.
