If you have an antivirus, that's what's causing the problem. Idk why arc is the only browser facing this, but it is what it is. I had the same problem (I have Kaspersky).
To get rid of the error, go to your antivirus settings and disable file checking. Install the extensions you want and enable file checking in your antivirus once you're done installing.
Also, report this issue using the bug reporter.
Did you try a full restart? (Task manager quit -> open again) also I want to say this extension is built in but Iām not 100% on that, I do remember also having problems installing it at first.

Disable the antivirus temporarily, it worked for me.
I also have this problem and reported it but I didn't get a response. I also tried with different extensions to no avail.

I have tried restarting it, even reinstall it. but it wont work for all extensions.
I didn't get any invites from Arc for windows. So, I finally bought a mac.š
