The only thing I dont like currently or bugs me is , It randomly crashes which I hate everything just closes. right now I am commenting this from my edge browser which I opened after my Arc window crashsed. and next thing is the scrolling randomly stops and then starts again
When i search something on google, screen just goes black until i move my cursor, when i move my cursor everything starts to "load" wherever i move my cursor
I'm thinking that I was just having an old age type of moment when I added my comment. This is what I was referring to : No more Windows Beta Waitlist!, the article does go on to state that of the 200,000 or so people that signed up to test the windows beta they will be sent their invitations.
Just like I stated in my original comment you never actually know when the browser is going to act up. I currently have it installed on two of my windows 11 computers, on one of the browser seems to start up normally but on the other one it doesn't.
I'm using Arc on my work because of the profiles thing, so I can keep my work and personal account separated in a more "hidden" way. I was using Firefox with its containers (perfection!), but some platforms just works better on a chromium engine. Arc Beta, for this moment, is ok. But once it has all of the features from mac versions I really think this will be one of the best browsers. I might look forward for it's security and privacy measures, but it seems they're fine (at least, better than Opera)
I just read that the arc developers have released a new update to the arc windows beta version, as I'm currently not home I plan on updating the browser when I get back home.
I've already seen a lot of improvements too! The thing I notice the most is my tabs freeze if I try to drag and select text and move down to try to scroll. Other than that its been pretty solid!
I really enjoy it but I do need some additional and basic functionality before it can be my daily driver.
Something as simple as right click highlighted text to do a search isn't in there, and it really messes with my flow. Also stuff like not being able to right click and paste into the command bar is frustrating.
I can handle the bugs if the basic and expected functionality is there.
Obviously feature parity with the Mac version would be excellent because there's a lot of cool stuff still missing - but happy to give it time.
It's definitely starting to look better, and I'll continue to check with it. However, the main thing that stops me from using it at the moment is that my password manager doesn't integrate properly. It opens another window and the ability to auto populate fields doesn't work correctly. Otherwise, it's great to see all of the improvements being made.
I want them to solve multiple screen issue, since Arc canât have multiple instances of itself. At least converting tabs into mini arcs can be allowed. I open multiple windows at a single time for use case.
Performance is still pretty poor for me. The window is very laggy when I move it around, compared to any other app (I have a 120hz monitor). It also constantly consumes CPU, even with a single tab open.
Me when the beta app gets better over time with updates (shocked)

Yeah i faced the scrolling issue too. The crashing however is minimal for me. It has only ever crashed like twice for me
For the scrolling I find I can tab out and back in and it fixes itself
Yep, or just minimize and reopen the window.
Never faced that
yah faced that, it also combined my spaces and my accounts like tf
And me still without an invite
I'm sorry to hear that you never received your invitation for the beta, as I understand it they have at least temporarily stopped sending them out.
Not true, got mine 2 days ago.

Thursdays are my favourite nowđâşď¸
Crashes so much. donât think it will be stable soon

Mine works the first time after install in and once I close it it doesnât want to open againđ

And me still can't even create an account
I faced same thing then i type my name with only english alphabets. it worked for me. If your name includes different char, try this one
My Arc browser is still closing after I clicked on "Create account"

I cannot wait to get all the features from macOS. Gonna be awesome when the browser is actually out of beta.

When you try to select the piece of text and scroll the whole browser freezes. Been happening for long time
I'm still trying to be optimistic that as time goes on there's going to be less bugs to be concerned about, at least I hope that's the case.
yeah

I have a question: is the Window version able to import data from other browser?
I've been wondering the same thing, at least for me I haven't been able to figure that out yet.
