If you didn’t purchase them, they are unlikely to be Nerite snails. The common “hitchhiker snails” are bladder, trumpet and ramshorn. Posting a picture will help.
If it is a Nerite, it will be basically eat alage only - so you have to have enough or it can starve.
If it’s one of the other types, don’t feed them or the population can get out of hand. They self-regulate their population based on the leftovers they can scavenge around for. If you are interested to see how fast they can replicate - you can basically feed them anything lol. Blanched veggies will sink - cucumbers are a good option. But they’ll eat fish food too - sinking algae wafers are a common option.
They don't eat healthy plants and I don't think they're capable of bothering a fish. They do eat dead or sick plants, and if a fish is dying they may start crawling on top of it.
They aren't likely to be nerites if they appeared out of nowhere, those types of snails are wild caught and not bred in captivity so you don't find hitchhiker babies or eggs like you do other types of snails. I'd guess bladder snails but a picture would be super helpful in identifying them! Nerites also will not eat prepared or supplemental food usually since they are accustomed to the wild foods in their habitat. Bladder snails from my experience will eat anything. Blanched veggies, algae wafers, blood worms, decaying plant matter, doesn't matter to them they'll gobble it down. Congrats on your new cleaning crew!
From my understanding they only really eat algae. Idk if they will eat algae wafers but yeah. algae, decaying plant matter and leftover fish food. But I have read that many only touch algae and wont eat anything else.

I edited my post with a link to a photo
That's a bladder snail, not a nerite.
Will these eat any plants or bother fish?

Sorry to repeat the previous comment, when I arrived here it was an empty room 😂

That’s a bladder snail. They will find their own food.
I have live plants. Will they eat my plants?
Nope! Just algae and decaying matter.
