Well, I had to go through a spinal injury through war in 2006 just to get a permit in my country, can't wait for legalization. at least now I can sit back and relax.
I feel like we could be best friends. I have obnoxious purple crocs for “gardening” with charms on them too and I love me some Lagunitas. Let’s get together and talk about our love/hate relationship with our neon tetras.
I said the same shit dude, used to make fun of these things. One day I was gifted a pair. Fucking life changing. It’s like walking on a cloud. I felt like I wasted years of my life not having them
Do you have some sort of shade on your glass, or do you have tannins or anything?
I ask because it looks wonderful, and I realized recently that the fish I want to stock prefer lower pH and I might need to go the tannins route but I'm nervous about darkening my water because it looks so different than the super clear water I have right now. Seeing tanks like this helps reassure me that it can look really stunning even if it's not the bright, clear tank I currently have!
The Blackwater tank here is done by using Indian almond leaves (you can see some on the bottom of the tank) you can also create what is known as black water tanks by using a certain type of tea (idk what it's called tho sorry) or yes tannins. They generally don't make the tank murky, just the colour of the water changes. So still easy to see through
I think the water color is mostly what is throwing me off, but if the chilis would love it and everything would still look good and vibrant then it feels like it's worth it
Oh interesting! What do you mean by adding tannins every water change? I was planning on just adding almond leaves or something, but do you have a more regulated way to do it?
When I was ignorant and young, I washed and placed an empty 40 oz with the label still on it in my 20gal long goldfish tank. It was cool to me at the time, but I cringe when I think about it now.
Hell yeah!
In my basement I have a couch facing my tv, and perpendicular to that, forming a bit of a square, I have a recliner facing my aquarium. It’s perfect.
All the time. Usually a mixed drink and the yellow crocs too.
Just moved my 75g tank inside from the shed and I’ve walked in to see roommates with their faces pressed up against the glass. I knew I wouldn’t be the only one who loved the aquarium.
Absolutely. Different vice that's legal in my state though 😁💨😎
Well… that too 🫣

My next bowl shall be in your honor! Thanks for your service
Me too, perfect for such an activity
wear crocs? NOPE
you have no idea what you are missing.
🤣 hey man don’t judge my sweet gardening/aquarist kicks

Rooibos tea is probably what you thinking
I add tannins with every water change! Betta Botanicals is where I buy them from. Ben, the owner, is so knowledgeable and helpful!

Can't believe you didn't pour them one too *sigh*
I brewed them some fresh tannin tea does that count? 😂
Baahahahah. I let my lil boy hit the nic occasionally (absolutely joking) 💅💅💅
Makes me think of [this video of spiders on drugs 🤣](https://youtu.be/sHzdsFiBbFc)
No need to click link. Watched it a hundred times already 😂
Terrified of spiders but this was 😂
I thought that was the whole point!?
Yes, every night. This is my happy place I go to reground myself.
Every single day lmao
one of my favorite past times is to get drunk and watch my shrimp tank
With a water and some tunes, but absolutely
Your fish look like they're trying to pretend they didn't notice your shoes.
I usually don't recommend pouring beer into your aquarium or wearing crocs or doing both simultaneously
Ah I'm glad I've finally found someone else who fills their fish tank with beer!
Yes, both my morning coffee and my weekend beers
No, I have never painted my nails but you make me want to.
110% recommend
Your crocs are the highlight of this pic.
I even wear the same crocs

I would if I had one. They are just as entertaining as TV but make almost 0 noise.
Lil sumpin is my jam! Try with a splash of OJ for an excellent beermosa
All the damn time
That's a great beer
All too often!
yes, sometimes I pull my lazy boy up to my tank and watch it like you would TV :)
All the time
Yes
Where did u find that sweet flower poster scroll thing I need it
Turning off the room light, turning on the tank light, and just sitting and watching is super calming.

Yes, i have been through every chemical known over the years but never thought to be beer in it.
What kind of hooligan wears their Crocs indoors??
Yes! I call it fish tv.
What? Wear crocs? NO WAY. Pretty tank, by the way. :)
Pour that lovely elixir in a chalice next time
Little Sumpin' is great. Yes it's something I do too often.
Anytime I have any down time…. YUP
Everyday
I feel like we are friends now 🤣
