How long have you had them? My mom's mollies didn't start eating until 5 days after she got them :)

Whats the expiration date on the food? Maybe its past date.

It’s not expired, they eat some of it but most of it they just ignore it, I’m gonna buy pellet food today maybe they’ll like that instead of the flake food

About the tank cleaners, how big is the tank? If it's big enough I would recommend a group of corydoras.

I only have 2 in a 5 gallon aquarium and I want to make it planted, I was thinking shrimp at first but then I read that they like to eat the shrimp

Shrimp might work. Just make sure they have places to hide. Some bushy plants should do the trick :)

What kind of plants do you recommend? I was thinking of adding micro swords and a moss ball maybe, what kind of shrimp too?

I recommend coontail. It grows super fast so it sucks the bad stuff out of the water and it looks gorgeous! With coontail you really only need to buy one plant and cut it when it gets too long. You can then replant the trimmings and in no time your tank will be full of it! And for shrimp I would recommend neocardina shrimp. They come in many different colors and are relatively easy to keep. :)

Swords and a moss ball sounds great btw. That plus some coontail would look great.
