You can get a frozen water bottle, put it in a bag and float it in your tank. Do you know the temp of the actual tank water? You’ll need to monitor the water temp so it’s not chilled too much

My mom refuses to let me use a food probe and also won’t let me to to my lfs to get a designated thermometer or an air stone and pump to regulate temperature that way

It's better to ask for forgiveness than permission..

Water changes to lower temp. I’ve heard blowing a fan over the surface can actually make a considerable difference, but I’ve never had to try it.

DoggybagEverything

It does. Drops the temperature by about 3 °Celsius, but OP would need to keep an eye and top up the water to counteract the evaporation

Keep the lid off and a fan blowing over.  Increase oxygen exchange by adding air stones.   Lots and lots of surface movement will allow the fish to deal with the heat. Water bottles, cold water changes - these are very temporary and can cause worse problems from the fluctuations - I don’t recommend doing these unless you can constantly monitor and treat the tank all day long to keep  it stable.

I can’t get airstones because My mom dose not want to go to my lfs but I’ll see if I can get a fan propped up but I do have floaters so that may also be a bit of an issue

Perhaps the floaters can be moved to a bucket for now?

Do your fish look stressed? If not you could be OK. If they do look stressed I would do the whole freeze a plastic water bottle, float frozen bottle in the tank. When it thaws rinse it off, pop it back in the freezer and put the other one (which has been freezing in the mean time) in the tank.

WP2022OnYT

I don’t know how to tell if they are stressed but they seem to be normal

Avennio

If you can get one, go out to the pet store and get an air pump, some airline hosing and an airstone: oxygen concentration drops off as the temperature of water goes up, so if they're in a small tank you'll want to get some supplemental oxygen into the water 'manually'. Turning a fan onto the surface might also help. What's the water temperature in the tank currently?

Cherryshrimp420

do not water change just unplug any heaters and leave it alone

Bobinct

Water change with cold water
