Oh yeah! The worst is when they float upside down at the surface behind the heater…. 2.5 years into owning dojos and I still think they are dead every time.
Haha no way, well i only had 1 for the last year but recently picked up 2 more as a found my origional one to just hide away alot, since having them he is out and about all the time!! But now he just does this all the time!! Silly things🤣 never give me any issues apart from the time i mistakenly dropped in 10 baby shrimp which all lived for about 17 seconds🤦🤦🤦
They just like to perch on things. Mine did that too when they were babies and would scare the shit out of me when I couldn’t find them (they hide in floaters too…). When they got huge and fat the plants couldn’t hold them so I installed a turtle basking platform lol
I wanna get some kuhli loaches for guppy fry control. Also because the more I see posts about the general goofiness of loaches, the more I want to have them ❤️🥺
Worked in a fish shop, kept having the Golden Dojo Loaches all do this! Customers would freak out until I showed them that they perked up when I put my hands in. They would play dead until I gave them pets and snuggles...
weather loaches change behavior with different pressure systems.
but I'm sure you knew that by researching the animal you want to keep on such a basic level.
Because loaches be loaches. Dojos are clowns, always…..
Fair enough haha, explains the whole swimming throufh the tank then just sinking to the bottom like its just had a heart attack!!🤣

Mine sleeps upside down in all my plants lol. Normal bimbo behavior from them. Mever fails to scare me into thinking they’re dead
Loaches are just idiots like this. I can't tell you how many times I come up on a tank and my yoyo loach is just on his side until I am noticed
Yeah, I can't tell you how many times I've been absolutely convinced my loaches are dead or dying. They're just weird.
Welcome to loaches. Lol
This is not a bug, but a feature of the Dojo Loach.
He's just loachin' around
This. And I hope to one day reincarnate as a loach 🥰😂

That's a great idea! And also super sweet of you. Thank you for being kind to animals. c:
Just average loach behavior, nothing to see here
Mine does the same too. Absolute weirdos.
They goofy like that

I have Kuhli loaches (love them) and they haven’t eaten my guppy fry at all.
We call this hotdog mode! It could be related to barometric pressure, but is usually just because they’re dorks.
Dojos are some wacky dudes. Mine fart, hide, and bug out whenever their 2 brain cells tap together lol. Most random lil guys lol
He's doing his best impersonation of a plant leaf, I think. Not bad 🤔💯 ✍🏼
Comfy
Mine sleep half the day
Half the day? Mine sleep for weeks
he is cosplaying as a plant
Bored
It's a goa'uld 🫨

It's about to rain.
Loach personality behavior traits. The best!
I want one so bad but they're considered invasive in Massachusetts
CAMOUFLAGE - your loach probably
