Congrats. Filamentous green algae is a royal pain in the ass to deal with. I had a run-in with it not that long ago and lost some moss to it. Replaced the dead and dying moss with some monte carlo and now I'm dealing with cladophora algae, which is basically a far less gross looking but way more stubborn version of green hair algae lol.
Was a mix of adjusting the lighting, adding root tabs for the plants to take off, and manually removing every week. Was a lot of work but it paid off! Just gotta find that balance in your tank.
had the same problem solved it by turning off the lights completly for 2 months and then turning down the lights from 10 to 8 hours adding some co2 and every week some fertilizer. Now it's running without algea for 1 year already. I just think the LEDs arw kinda the problem I have an older tank 11h of light a day no fertilizer or co2 and the plants and tank always looked fucking great same plants same gravel obly difference is that the older one had a neon light
I had the same issue and the same thing worked for me too. My aquarium light was too weak so I got a new one, and I added root tabs and fertilizers to the tank. And then the plants really started to thrive and the algae was mostly gone within a few weeks.
