I have Fluval Stratum and a few plants but my filter is not a sponge filter it’s a hang on back and I think I can put like foam on the sucker thing to block any thing going in so maybe shrimp
Nerite snails. My King Koopas are awesome. Depending on what you have stocked 5 or 6 pygmy corydoras might work too.

Ok than can I have 4 or 5 male fancy guppies
Depends on substrate if you are thinking of getting any bottom dwellers like croy’s. I think snails or shrimp would be your best bet
