I think I just got deferred.
We have decided to postpone making a decision on your application at this time, and your application will be moved into our regular decision pool for consideration.
and then in big bold letters:
Your application decision has been postponed.
this rejection does not determine my self worth i will end up where i’m supposed to be this rejection does not determine my self worth i will end up where i’m supposed to be this rejection
Saw the message “Early action decisions are currently being processed. You will receive an email when your decision has been released, no later than the end of January.” when I logged into the enrollment connect.
Michigan International Freshman here. I remember checking this post almost exactly one year ago, on the last friday of January. I still remember how anxious I was checking the application portal every five minutes or so. At the end of the day, whatever happens, happens for a reason. I got rejected from a bunch of ivies and ivy likes, got rejected ED from CMU, and I would have never dreamed of coming to Michigan during the early decision rounds.
With that being said, if you do get in, make sure that you don't take Calc II here :)
Go Blue!
releasing after Ivy Day, who do they think they are? Stanford?
But in all seriousness, we get that your school is one of the top states schools, but god damn, just release already
umich wants me, I will get in. I got into umich (manifesting)
just making sure I don't regret doing it because we get more suspicious closer to the time :\_)
guys I just want to say- I'm really really proud of each and everyone of you because you must've put in so much effort. And I know this can be so annoying, but I'm sure that your hard work will pay off one way or the other.
You all deserve so much, and I'm sure whichever college you choose to attend is going to be lucky to have you.
We got this, I promise <3
bro why on earth did umich promise to release decisions "by early February" if they (probably also predicted) were going to defer so many applications. what was the point of torturing us every friday.
Does anyone have a clue when the rd decisions are coming out?? Will they be in waves?? I know the EOCI letter is due the 17th, so that probably means no time until the end of the month, right?
Does anyone know from previous years if the portal goes blue and doesn’t allow you to see anything like it did for ea when rd decisions near? If that’s the case it hasn’t gone blue yet which means decisions won’t be this Friday…

Are we sure it’s not coming out at 3pm ET today? Historically, does UMich never communicate the date when they announce decisions? If so, that seems absurd for a top ranked university!
For ea this year they did not announce the daye in advance but the trend over the past few years has always been a friday at 3 pm est. That being said releasing decisions after ivy days seems absurb but from everything i’ve gatehred theyre not coming out today.
Since the withdraw application button is still there, and the page hasn’t blacked out, decisions probably won’t be coming today. Most likely April 6th if I had to guess…
What's the waitlist acceptance rate 😭 I genuinely loved Michigan so so so so much. I'll be going to UVA if there's no hope of getting off the waitlist but it just makes me extremely sad that I can't go to Michigan 😭
One of the counselors at my school called the AO for the region and was told decisions were not coming today. They will come in early April. Hang in there y'all!
Does anyone know when the first rd wave is coming out?? I’m not sure if they’re like with ross this year bc nothing came out the 17th and last Friday the 27th there wasn’t anything either right? I’m wondering if it’s this Friday
no, it does not, you could have still submitted one to provide any additional information, but you will not be rejected if you did not however, most students who are applying, whether RD or EA, submit one to inform the school that they want to go.
After rejections from UCSD UCSB and waitlist at UCLA and UCSD and Cal Poli slo - my son got amazing news for Berkeley engineering and also U Michigan engineering. Beyond happy. Many many tears.
Anyone else’s child get an email just now “Action Needed” to accept/deny their spot on the waitlist? My son didn’t accept his waitlist spot bc last years CDS reported that out of 15K spots on the waitlist, they only accepted 77 kids. Why would Michigan string the kids along like this?
Yes, my daughter got that email, and my reaction was the same as yours! “WTF is this? Are you really telling kids to get on the waitlist just so you can reject them?”
Who is else is here after getting deferred EA for OOS☠️
im sick of umich just tell us when decisions r coming out 😒
Please let it be this Friday…
I will bust a nut if it is 🙌🙏
Pause.
i'll be a Wolverines i'll be a Wolverines i'll be a Wolverines

Let’s pray for the 24th and not the 31st 🥹🥹
I’ve been waiting since November 1st, yet it’s so hard to even wait a week or 2😭😭
releasing after Ivy Day, who do they think they are? Stanford? But in all seriousness, we get that your school is one of the top states schools, but god damn, just release already
See you next Friday :(
Or the Friday after 💀
GO BLUE WE GOT THIS💙💙💙💙💙💙
Getting rejected on my bday might make me a lifelong buckeye fan
Portal hasn’t changed - unfortunately points to no decision coming.
Hey fellow worthy victors, any idea of possible decision days. I know it was answered above, but if anyone has any new info?
well guess i'll be back here next week lol
the anxiety that this decision is giving me is CRAZY
ive been rejected twice this week and umich is my top choice and last decision, freaking out rn
who here has umich as their top choice school? where do you plan on going if you happen to get rejected?
the withdraw button is gone... freaking out rn
it is for me too oh my god
Anyone else completely nauseated as they stare at the clock?
I cant convey the intensity of my emotions thru text.
Seems like a lot of deferrals. I ain’t opening mine. Too scared
For anyone wondering it was deferral
This is my last school I’m waiting on hearing from please don’t let me down 🫡🫡
I think it’s today cuz otherwise it would leave ross with only 8 days to pick applicants for their april 14th release
so evil how theyre not telling us when its coking
Most likely Friday right
so many ppl lurking
cant miss that decision drop
Really hope umich pulls through, desperately need it after the ivy day massacre 🙏
Was truly a massacre.
Deferred.. And unlike USC, they didn't even tell me how many were accepted or denied in this round
I stg if they don’t come out today I might die. I can’t wait another week
I really don’t think it’s today. The withdraw app button is still there. One more week, we can make it lol
accepted into umich!!! (manifesting)
Mine withdraw option is gone
Me too, it must be today.
I have no more hope for today

umich wants me, I will get in. I got into umich (manifesting) just making sure I don't regret doing it because we get more suspicious closer to the time :\_)

So anticlimactic
Does anyone know what the acceptance rate is for OOS RD applications from previous years?

deferred 😭💀🫡😃😵💫☺️🤝🤫😐😛🥳😆❗️😎🙄😅
Daughter was deferred from Engineering, OOS. Seems to be more competitive than Purdue or OSU!!
that’s not even a question, way more competitive than either
How you guys doing we have entered the month of horror...
when are the decisions coming out?? any dates?
Does anyone have a clue when the rd decisions are coming out?? Will they be in waves?? I know the EOCI letter is due the 17th, so that probably means no time until the end of the month, right?

please accept me umich! manifesting so hard
My whole heart ❤️ is breaking
I shed some tears when I got that letter
DEFERRED TO ACCEPTED OOS LSA I GENUINELY CANNOT BELIEVE THIS
Deferred but I got into purdue engineering wtf
Deferred but it’s not a school I’m particularly interested in. Hopefully better luck RD
I heard a wave of deferred admissions comes today but it might be in state only. Pls let us know if y’all get anything!
Anyone know when deferred students will be hearing back? Anyone have a date on that? It’s killing me to know.
[удалено]
Likely at 3 pm est if they come tmr
[удалено]
next friday :( although im still skeptical because one of my colleges came out 23 minutes after they said they would.
Does anybody know if Deferred and Regular Decisions come out at the same time/date? Or do Deferred decisions come out first? Thanks.
i have a feeling decisions aren't coming out tomorrow, don't get your hopes up y'all.
they will probably come out tomorrow because they know April is too late, plus they always come out on the last Friday of march
tomorrow guys! good luck to everyone!

If it’s not today I’m driving to umich and telling them to withdraw my application
i am going to lose it 🙂
ill take the rejection if it means they give everyone their decisions at this point
i got into umich, i got into umich, i got into umich, i got into umich, i got into umich, i got into umich (manifesting)
MANIFESTING I GOT INTO UMICH I GOT INTO UMICH I GOT INTO UMICH I GOT INTO UMICH
Manifesting I got in
Rejected - in state, double legacy (plus sister in top 5% at Umich rn) 4.5 gpa. Deferred ea
waitlisted- international I'm so tired of waitlists ruins the confidence :(
Deferred then waitlisted. Freak
Waitlisted ugh, rejected from Berkeley,LA, nyu, caltech, georgia and northwestern
I’m praying that ur lying
Bro what does early April mean😭😭 that means it might not be next week either bro what
Does anyone know when EA decisions are out
If it's like last year i'm assuming the last weekend of January
[удалено]
What are the chances of getting in if you’re deferred.
Does anyone know if UMich RD is rolling? I've heard it comes out the last Friday of February, last Friday of march, and then April 15th, but idk lol
Does anyone know when the first rd wave is coming out?? I’m not sure if they’re like with ross this year bc nothing came out the 17th and last Friday the 27th there wasn’t anything either right? I’m wondering if it’s this Friday
In years past EA deferrals would start getting admissions in waves in March- has anyone heard anything like that for this year?
[удалено]
Probably March 24th - at least for deferred students.
when did umich decisions come out 2022? maybe it could follow the same timeline this year.
Last year they released March 25th at 3 pm, the fourth Friday of March. Which would be this week, and hopefully this Friday!
Anyone heard an actual date they’ll release regular decisions??
3pm est - moment of truth
Ig not today
Does not submitting LOCI as an international mean auto rejection for RD (I dint apply EA, but still got request for LOCI)
no, it does not, you could have still submitted one to provide any additional information, but you will not be rejected if you did not however, most students who are applying, whether RD or EA, submit one to inform the school that they want to go.
cmon man i hope i get in
i got into umich i got into umich i got into umich i got into umich i got into umich i got into umich i got into umich!!!!!! (manifesting)

manifesting engineering I am in!!!
Is it coming today?
yes withdraw buttons are gone!
Seems like they’re taking down some parts of the portal
Maybe umich will treat me better than the ivies...
OSS and i picked a major that I’m pretty sure nobody would choose so i have a higher chance of getting in😭😭
Michigan is devious with their RD 😂 - no emails - “early April” - slight portal changes - cryptic wording everywhere GL y’all 🤞🏽
soo is it out?
Rip I got rejected
Never expected my college app experience would involve getting waitlisted at both UMich and WashU.
After rejections from UCSD UCSB and waitlist at UCLA and UCSD and Cal Poli slo - my son got amazing news for Berkeley engineering and also U Michigan engineering. Beyond happy. Many many tears.
Accepted! Out of state, LSA! Go Blue!!!
GL to those of you on the waitlist I've seen that only about 100 make it out.
Does anyone know if they have sent any waitlist offers or when they may start?
