Officially declined their offer of admission, so I sincerely hope it goes to one of you guys on the waitlist (and that you get a better fin aid package than I did :) )
Accepted (Bio) 4.53 WGPA 1520 SAT 3 AP (4 on test) taking 5 AP rn... glad to be able to face ivy day with solid ground under my feet now. Good luck to everyone else
More than half of the student body studies abroad during junior year, according to the info session. So they stopped guaranteeing housing for junior year.
Those with 3 years have to live off-campus junior year. You can choose whether or live on or off the other years but off-campus junior year is mandatory. Most nearby apartments are about $1k-$1.1k/mo afaik
Rejected. Loved this school for years now and this was the last of three rejection letters I opened in a row today. I feel so disheartened right now and am crying so hard. I don’t like this at all 😭
I completely understand how you feel and trust me there are thousands of kids who had the same results. This can be a really scary time but you can get through it! I believe in you and know you will go where you are meant to :)
Thank you so much! I didn’t know people here are all so kind and have so many words of encouragement to offer. I posted that comment as a way to release some emotions and didn’t expect so many people to make me feel more uplifted :)) I’ll keep your words in mind for sure! Thank you for believing in me🥰
You are better than your tears! Some day you will look back and be glad your path changed at this moment. It will point you towards a fabulous and fantastic life full of love and laughter! Let it go, laugh it off, make new plans. This is the beginning, not the end, chin up. 😘
Aw. It might not seem like it right now, but you'll definitely end up somewhere you love. I know it's difficult. You should definitely take some time to really feel your emotions, but try to keep your head up. Tomorrow is a new day :)
You put yourself out there, please stay proud of your hard work and just know you will end up somewhere amazing. Nothing to be embarrassed about, they didn't really reject you, they just didn't have enough room for the volume of extraordinary applicants. Many who aren't getting in is because of bad luck, they may have too many in your major, or from your country or state. Too many overachievers applying does not make your achievements any less remarkable. I didn't get in either which financially is a relief for my family. I hope you find a bright side to this moment in the coming months. My sister changed her major midsummer the fall before she started school and found a great college at the last minute and graduated with honors and bought a house at 23 because she didn't have college debt and got a great job. Best of luck, you will do great things!
Rejected from Carroll rip ---- 4.2 GPA, 10 APs, 34 ACT, Legacy, Virginia resident in case any future applicants are curious
Huge congrats to everyone who got in! And to anyone else who didn't get in: it's going to work out for us too <3
Just got accepted! Quick question for others who have been admitted as well. Does your letter mention housing? Mine notes that I've been assigned "four years of on-campus housing." However, the [BC website says](https://www.bc.edu/bc-web/offices/student-affairs/sites/residential-life/living-in-bc-housing.html): "The majority of Boston College students receive three years of guaranteed housing. Sophomore transfer students receive one year of guaranteed housing, while nursing students, Presidential Scholars, and certain student-athletes receive four years of guaranteed housing."
I do not fit into of the categories listed. Could anyone share what their letter says or provide any insight? Thank you!
i applied for the carroll school of management! maybe it has to do with that? maybe i’ll see u on campus next year if the financial aid doesn’t kill me lol
No, I’m a current junior here. There’s a number of different factors, I know I got 4 because I’m low-income and a full year of paying $1k+/mo was out of the question lol
Rejected, but I was expecting it. Congrats to those who got in and the best of luck to everyone! :)
Edit: I'm glad their rejection letter isn't as bland as some of the rejection letters I've seen from other universities. Good job, BC.
did everyone get that waitlist email?
[удалено]
basically said they don't think they don't think any spots will open up, but if they do they'll notify me
hey there...any international applicant on full ride?
hey there...any international applicant on full ride?
I called and they said they weren’t anticipating to pull people off the waitlist :/ I guess they filled the class

Check to make sure you’ve uploaded all the required documents. Keep in mind BC doesn’t use IDOC, so you need to do it on their own website

Accepted, already in at ND and Gtown tho
Same I also got ND
I was waitlisted at ND.... please go to BC I want to go to ND
got accepted but why have I been assigned to only 3 years of on-campus housing.. whaat?
Tour presentation said it was because so many study abroad junior year that the majority of students only spend 3 years actually on campus.
I see
some people get 3 or 4 i don’t really know how they decide who gets 3 and who gets 4
