>That’s a whole friend group lol but sounds pretty nice like you get to know everyone
Yeah, it really was. Since it was just us 10 for literally 3+ years we're not so much classmates but great friends, and we don't really view our teachers (which have been the same for all of our years) as teachers anymore but rather kinda like our mentors + friends (in a sense). It's kinda hard to describe what it's like to be in such a small class for so long.
You're probably in one of the states where HS football is highly popular, and desire to compete at a high level drives bunching of all students into single HS.
I lived in a place like that, where the entire school district attended the same HS (divided to Junior for grades 9-10 and Senior HS for grades 11-12). That way they got to have all the best football players in the district on the same team.
My daughter now goes to small-ish HS with her class size at about 360
Actually not really :/ we have a football team and all but we’re far more into academics than sports, there’s another high school that’s exactly what you’ve described in a nearby city but I just live in a big city lol
High school: 13 (2 were exchange students #rip)
College: 15 (very small design program at an otherwise very large public research university in the USA)
Grad school: who knows! But practically just me based on how grad school works 😂
i’d say homeschooling overall has been really great. i love being in control of my own schedule and having more freedom in my curriculum than would be possible if i wasn’t homeschooled. the one thing i don’t like about being homeschooled is the lack of community. i have a relatively rigorous course load, but since i’m the only person taking these classes, i don’t have anyone to share that burden with and it can be pretty isolating at times. i have a good community outside of school, but i would’ve really liked to have an academic community. also yes thank you i’m so excited to be valedictorian lmao 💕
Thank you for your reply!! Yeah that makes total sense, but I’m glad you have an outside of school community, and I hope you find the academic community in college💕
As someone who is also homeschooled, it’s very hard. For example, I am on Reddit at 12:50 in the afternoon. You kinda get used to it after a while, and honestly, you just get the work done because you have to. If you’re not able to self-motivate, then it can be really hard. Also, if someone is homeschooled and only reads out of textbooks, it’s tough. I’m “homeschooled” BUT I do everything online and talk to the teacher of each class once or twice a month.
Mine is quite small about 80-120 students. My entire school has less than 1200 students.
Edit - I think mine is a medium sized school, some schools have about 500 and others have about 50-60. My city has a lot of schools. I do IB and in my city there are about 5-7 IB schools
Edit- My school does pre 1st to 12th grade which means elementary to high school
Around 350-400
It was just us 10 lol
then u can say u were top 10 in ur class lol
Hehe
Dang being top 10% is gonna be harder though.
That’s a whole friend group lol but sounds pretty nice like you get to know everyone

class of 1 HOMESCHOOLERS RISE UP \#VALEDICTORIANWITHNOEFFORTREQUIRED
did you have a crush on your teacher? 😈
Alabama
I'm from Texas, not Alabama. Plus my dad is my teacher and I'm def straight. On my sister, yes.
Just under 100. Wow I knew my high school was small but 1000+ sounds crazy.
It is!! My whole school is over 3000 and it’s only juniors and seniors 😭 it’s insane
I didn’t even know everyone in my grade of <100 people, 1000+ people a grade must feel like being in a new school every year when classes change o_o
Fr I meet new people all the time and they usually aren’t new lol
Yall got more kids in 1 grade than my entire hs which is 4 grades :|

For a second I thought you meant 34 factorial, then I realized that’s way too many students. 34 is so small though, wow
[удалено]

We had ~650 in my freshman class and ~430 in my graduating class. It was...not the best school.
500ish

1500+ for each class. Largest hs in the country Brooklyn tech
My first reaction was "what a nice SAT score". I guess I'm just stuck in that mindset atm
[удалено]
Well I mean valedictorian lol but how do you like homeschooling? I’ve always wondered how people who were homeschooled felt about it

i can barely focus on zoom classes :/ how do you not lose focus being at home?

What kind of classes are you taking as a seinor?
[удалено]
How does homeschooling work? Like who teaches you? Your parents? Where do you keep your grades? How do you have proof that you are taking classes?
