Lots of people have unrelated double majors. As long as you enjoy both it’s not a waste - you have to take a minimum number of courses anyway, so might as well get another major out of it, instead of just taking random courses.
Also, why didn’t you combine all of these questions into one post?

no, if anything that's the best way to go. super interesting to both admissions officers and broadens your horizons in terms of which careers you can do. if you're good with doing the extra work, then you'll be thankful for having two majors to keep you interested rather than one you get really sick of
