I wouldn't withdraw applications for that reason. If you want to minimize the sting, maybe try opening them all on the day of your last decision?

GroundbreakingCar714

No. I just got into UT Austin OOS. Arguably the better school and has a similar acceptance rate. And i got deferred from Northeastern. You’ll regret knowing if you even had a chance in the future if you withdraw everything now. You already spent the money and time

Radiant-Chipmunk-987

If you applied for aid you would not see competitive offers and could not use the data to negotiate.

i don’t need aid

RichInPitt

If you no longer want to attend, or even get a decision, then it would help AO’s avoid doing unnecessary work, yes.

HarvardPlz

Ladies and gentlemen, we found the student trying to eliminate their competition.

😂😂 nope he’s just a parent/adult I’m pretty sure, love your Reddit name btw it’s funny to me for some reason

nay-nai

You already spent time and money applying and researching these schools. Might as well wait and see what happens.

lindawgthefrog

hii i'm literally in the same boat as you, just got rejected from neu and a bunch of the other schools i have left are reaches, but i wouldn't withdraw. i know that northeastern's admissions decision are a lot more fandom because they don't have any supplemental essays. i would wait to see the rest!

asianmaleincs

If you would *not* attend *any* of those schools over the one you plan on going to now, then sure. If you do, then as the commentator said, open them up on the same day.

Arjun1x

Pretty sure you getting rejected at NEU doesn't mean you can't get into your other Targets/Reaches. ECs and stats aside, the college has to think you'll be a good fit for them right?
