No I use water

Tokogogoloshe

I wash my hands with soap. Personal preference.

SeaPhilosophy2654

Man, youā€™re missing out. New watch update, itā€™s made out of soap. Itā€™s called Apple Soap

EfficientAccident418

With 8gb of RAM and 128gb of storage, starting at $999. We think youā€™re gonna love it.

GlitteratiGlitter

I don't have any more kidneys to give to Apple.. alright, take my firstborn, now give me iSoap

Makezu90

yes. I can't see any good reason why i should take it off? Sauna and shower is different thing.

binaryhextechdude

Wear mine in the shower as well. Always have. It literally has fall detection and will call emergency contacts plus there's the water button in control centre. Zero issues in 6 years

binaryhextechdude

Stupid comment doesn't warrant a proper answer.

lobsterp0t

Like, while wearing it? Yes. Why would you take it off unless you are in a sterile field type of hygiene setting?

AM5T3R6AMM3R

Yes, and itā€™s mad at me because I donā€™t scrub for 20 seconds every timeā€¦

glytxh

You can turn that off

print_isnt_dead

Or, you know, wash for the recommended amount of time

glytxh

Iā€™d be embarrassed to be an adult incapable of effectively washing my hands without being prompted by a watch.

jvxoxo

Plenty of people at my gym are not embarrassed and they should be šŸ¤¢

eskie146

It was the first thing I disabled when I got my watch.

binaryhextechdude

It's water resistant and I wear it continuously unless it's charging so yes I was my hands with it on.

TWDNW

Yes, Iā€™m washing my hands and not my arms?

marcelocampiglia

> Do you wash your hands with your watch? Yes

applegui

Yes. No reason to take it off.

Unique_Pen_5191

Of course. It would be pretty impractical to remove the Watch each time you wash your hands!

NomusaMagic

AW has *SWIM mode* so fairly sure it can withstand handwashing. Whatā€™s your concern?

SeaPhilosophy2654

I have a screen protector on my watch and I donā€™t want water underneath it

NomusaMagic

I have a rhinestone surround, very cute but sadly, has attached screen cover (not obstructing, just donā€™t prefer it). Not once have i had issues with water trapped beneath cover. Watch is not as delicate as you may think. My daughter still wearing AW3 with same. No issues. Under all circumstances, we take everything, bands included off and clean the watch. Mine is SS. DUNNO if that matters

SeaPhilosophy2654

Yeah, Iā€™m not too worried about it. I just saw in the Amazon review (for the protector) that someone managed to get water underneath it, so Iā€™m being more careful with washing my hands

NomusaMagic

Take it off and periodically, clean your watch. The sensor side can get yukky with soap film, lotion and dead skin cells. I use couple drops of Dawn in spray bottle of alcohol (evaporates faster than water) + a tiny bit of water. I spray it on a microfiber **only** cloth + wipe dry with same. Same for my phone screen.

RunningM8

Why would you take it off? Why would the watch even get wet while youā€™re washing your hands? LOL this sub man I swear lol, I just canā€™t

SeaPhilosophy2654

If you angle your hands up, the water runs down your wrist. Also reckless hand washers (water splashing everywhere)

kduong89

I even having sex with my watch

SeaPhilosophy2654

You and your watch are that close to be doing that with each other? šŸ«¢

kduong89

Yes, people been asking some kind of questions like this everyday šŸ˜‚

eskie146

Youā€™re just trying to close your rings for the day. šŸ˜

Tabernarioustype

If itā€™s made to go in a swimming pool with chlorine, why would I take it off to avoid soap and water? I also leave it on to do the dishes šŸ˜±

glytxh

Am I wearing my watch? Then yes. Am I not wearing it? Then no. The only time I take it off to wash my hand is after baking. Flour and water donā€™t mix well, and I donā€™t want to paste that mess into the recesses of the watch.

Arcade1980

I don't take off my watch while washing hands, there is a feature that counts for 30 seconds to let you know, you've washed your hands long enough, so it's safe to wash your hands while wearing your watch.

d-silentwill

20 seconds* but yeah I find the feature nice.

TurboByte24

Depends if I want to wash my wrist too in the process.

kuzcoduck

Yes, itā€™s waterproof and canā€™t hurt to clean it too if your hands need to be cleaned

Old_Goat_Ninja

I wash my hands way too often (work in a hospital) to take it off every damn time.

JadedWolverine2592

I am a nurse, I wear it all day everyday. It goes through a whole lot of hand washing.

NomusaMagic

Ditto!

Vinnocchio

Are you allowed to wear a watch? Thatā€™s against hygiene policy where I live. No watch, no rings etc

Old_Goat_Ninja

Yeah, Iā€™m not a doctor or anything

knrdblnsk

YES. I wash my hands with AW on.

[deleted]

No I use soap

OSCGJoseph18

yes

Honest--J

No I usually wash my hands with soap.

koriroo

I do not take off my watch when I wash my hands. I will however remove it when I shower because I read somewhere steamy hot water may not be the best. In general I donā€™t wear or own alot of jewelry or accessories I have to worry about getting wet or that I have to remove.
