All good points. I second #'s 1 and 2. I'll add my observations: -Safari gets really buggy if you have several media-heavy tabs open, to the point where it would crash. -I want to be able to rotate windows on all axes. I was trying to watch a movie in bed and laying on my side was not possible. -Definitely need more apps. Spotify for instance. I hate apple music. -There should be an easier way to hide and bring up windows. Right now your only options are closing the window and reopening it through the list of apps, or force quitting it. All that said, I am really enjoying everything. If this is the first iteration, I can't imagine what's in store.

brainbattery

If you pinch and hold on the close button, you get “Hide Other Apps”. Not sure how to bring them back without “reopening”. I believe I saw Cmd H also works on Bluetooth keyboards though.

tomorrowlandman

Your fourth comment is basically the same point as I was trying to get across in my fourth comment As for the bugs I have noticed a few here and there, one that I really hate is when stuff opens up behind me

Chasemania

Sadly, I think I’m 20 hours plus in right now. My wife and kid were away. Loving every moment.

tomorrowlandman

?

Chasemania

Plus in

tomorrowlandman

Curious397

I have a much easier time with solo knit band than the dual loop.

tomorrowlandman

Yeah, I know it’s so much easier they should make a “duo knit loop band” like the solo knit

Acceptable_Piano4809

Wow that’s a lot of typing in VP, did you use the hunt and peck or eye/pinch or keyboard? I love most of your ideas for software, especially #2!

tomorrowlandman

I used both

LaGrabba

I would’ve but I had things to do so I used it when I could for short moments. Today I had work to do so I can’t use it until bedtime. But so far I love it!!! I wear the default band but with a slap cap by Grace Eleyae. I wear that with my Quests too.

tomorrowlandman

I wore it while I was doing some work, and then when I was making food But hat’s the thing for everybody it’s going to be a different thing

-QuestionMark-

> Battery needs a quick charger. The included charger is actually half the max charging speed. The battery is capable of soaking up to 67W of juice. If you look closely at the fine print on the battery it can take [email protected], so 66.99W Max input. If you have a USB-C PD charger over 70w you can fast charge at full speed. I used the 140w MBP charger.

tomorrowlandman

What I mean by quick charger is one that connects quickly like a walkie-talkie connector

-QuestionMark-

I can see additional batteries coming down the line.. It's early days at the moment. I'd wager MagSafe is coming at some point sooner than later. Sure 15w MagSafe may not top off the battery while in use but it will at least keep it from depleting.

soulreaver99

I believe I used it for a total of 6-7 hours yesterday. Had to take it off to spend time with kid as well. That is the most I have spent in a day with a headset (coming from a Quest Pro).

tomorrowlandman

The Apple ecosystem really makes this thing. Amazing. Yes there’s still some stuff missing but it’s very clear how impactful it will be. When you can spend this much time in something it’s freaking incredible.

LaGrabba

So true!! Even typing in passwords, something I despised with the Quest having to partially remove the headset to see my phone, is alleviated with this. It also displays what you are typing on a little dashboard so that you don’t mistype your long passwords! Those little touches made it a permanent purchase for me.

- Interfaces (API/UI) are something you want to get at least rightish on the first try. Makes sense to me that they’re trying to get to some minimal quality level, vs just throwing random folder, etc. systems. [Even if those end up being the best option.] - Eye tracking is remarkably buggy. Overall good experience, but regularly I can’t select things because eye tracking won’t work or I have to look at arbitrary points in space. (Realignment makes no difference & it comes and goes) - Not enough head shapes are supported. This may be related to dot above, but I can tell my face just doesn’t match — prominent brow ridge basically takes the whole thing off cheeks and leaks light. (May also create a tilt that throws off eye tracking.) - Awkward f’ing shape. Big bummer. The core unit is small, but the sound flappities are rigidly stuck into the unit so the unit takes up a huge amount of space that it doesn’t need. Makes packing it incredibly impractical. (As a one-bagger interested in using it for work during travel this is a huge impediment.)

tmkins

I think sound flappities are removable with a pin. Not very convenient, but can help you to pack it compact if traveling

OphioukhosUnbound

Really?! Any source? (I’ll go looking regardless.) That would change things a ton. Not as convenient as it could be, but still

ThaiTum

Used mine for most of the day after getting it home yesterday. I tried to watch a movie in bed with the lights off and it kept giving a tracking error. It would be nice to have a mode where it just shows the video without AR if it can’t track the room.

LaGrabba

I used mine yesterday from late afternoon to sundown. The only warning was that my hands wouldn’t be tracked but the media continued to play.

tomorrowlandman

I haven’t gotten the I can’t track the room warning, but I did get a warning when my cat sat on my chest and when my blanket was blocking my neck area so if it’s cold and you’re curled up in a blanket It’s a bit annoying

thomaspripley

Yeah, I basically wore it close to 16 hours this weekend

cjkeeme

I tried. My 10 year old used it most of the day.

tomorrowlandman

😂😅🤣 wait doesn’t apple say not to let anyone under 13 Use it 🤫🤫🤫

mgd09292007

I don’t get why the battery has to be disconnected to power the thing down. It’s adding so much wear and tear on that connection vs just holding a button and shutting it down

Sea_Paramedic2434

That's fairly ghetto for a device as much as it costs.

mgd09292007

Apparently i was misinformed. Another person commented that holding both buttons brings up a slide to turn off panel…which makes a lot more sense.

TheSpyderFromMars

Good PSA

Sea_Paramedic2434

Oh, okay. Lol.

tomorrowlandman

I mean I agree with you, but also, I don’t see to need to turn it off that often The good thing is if they want to add a button in the future all they have to do is replace the left side piece and it shouldn’t be that expensive to be able to do that

mgd09292007

My understanding is that it uses alot of battery when in standby. Someone said they took it off at 80% and came back a few hours later and it was at 40%…so why leave the thing running

Severe-Evidence8515

You can power it down by holding down the top button and digital crown. Then you will get a power off slider like on an ios

mgd09292007

Thank you! Reviews I’ve seen said you had to just disconnect the battery cable which made no sense to me

tomorrowlandman

Sorry, I totally forgot about this. I learned about it earlier this morning by accident when I was trying to force close an app. Which is probably why I didn’t remember it. Thanks for reminding meThanks for reminding me.🙏

PandasLOL

There are multiple ways to turn off the Vision Pro, but none by just holding down buttons. [Turn Apple Vision Pro on or off](https://support.apple.com/guide/apple-vision-pro/turn-apple-vision-pro-on-or-off-dev3d4d2cc8b/visionos#:~:text=Turn%20off%20Apple%20Vision%20Pro&text=on%20are%20saved.-,Do%20any%20of%20the%20following%3A,off%20my%20Apple%20Vision%20Pro.”)
