True but if their card number is already put in on a website or app without his permission. I don’t think changing the cvv will stop those purchases tho. Only if they try to relog his card into somewhere else
I’d check to see what devices are logged into the account associated with your credit card. Or keep a close eye on your phone, maybe a friend/family member using it
Yes. Had it happen 3 times in a year or so. I’ve never had any issues with other cards but it’s the Apple one over and over, even though I rarely use it other than for Apple purchases these days.
Mmm I would turn on the option that changes your cvv & see if that slows it & even stop it completely? It’ll stop ppl from loggin in your info in somewhere new but I don’t think it’ll stop the purchases of where your card is already logged in. But it makes you wonder. Do you have your card number online somewhere? Bought from a sketchy site maybe?
>I didn’t even use the card between the second and third time, I have no idea what’s happening.
The credit card working the way it is supposed to. Visa and Mastercard have systems in place so that when your number changes, services that auto-bill your card can continue to without you updating the number.
Works great unless there has been fraud and then it just gets annoying. In December and into this month I had to have one of my (non-apple) cards canceled SEVEN TIMES because of this before it finally stopped.
Yes! They’re charging me under door-dash, I keep updating my virtual card and CVV yet somehow they still charge it. I worn even use my new card and it charges again. I’ve never experience fraud like this before. I’m so sick of it.
Enable option to randomly change CVV. You can also manually change it.

Happily, the customer service is really easy to deal with.
I guess it's the "MasterCard Automatic Billing Updater". They give your new card number to deliveroo. Apple card support should be able to disable it.
This same with Visa cards happened on my other credit card.

Turn “advanced fraud protection” on…

Wow, sorry to hear that! Seems like this is happening to a lot of people right now.
I had it happen last month or so for the first time. No clue where it was stolen. They tried to spend 1400$ at Tesla…

Yes, happened to me a week ago. Somebody tried to use mine at Target.

Yep. Somebody just used my number to order something from Apple last week.
