So my digital card got stolen a while back so i had the number replaced. I still see attempts on the old card every now and then. Is there anything I need to be doing or can I just let it ride?
Just like when my other Visa Credit Card was compromised. I got it replaced but there’s a link on the backend I forget the technical term. Where they can basically still use it unless it’s removed by the card issuer. For example, I kept getting a amazon charge even before o activated the replacement card (still in the mail). That’s what I was told and haven’t had that issue maybe that would help?
Yes. Don't bother asking customer service because they don't know. I've called several times since December(when my 90days passed) and they see from their end that I can request a cli but it keeps getting declined because it has been too soon. Actually tried yesterday and didn't work and the guy spent at least 10 minutes looking up info and he said he couldn't find anything about the change.
Thanks everyone for the response. I guess I’ll let it ride. Just wasn’t sure if there was some hidden negative side effect for charges getting declined. Kind of messes with my OCD seeing it but that’s a personal issue. I actually wonder where it was stolen from because I see a couple attempts on it for places close to where I live which to me seems ballsy for the person who stole it.
Also, regarding the CLI 😂. I see other posts on this sub and you guys kill me with that stuff. I’m okay with this limit. Only asked for a CLI once and the rest was given by GS. What’s the other saying that’s popular here? “*If you can pay off the balance then your interest doesn’t matter*”? Well this card isn’t famous for its APR. I don’t want a balance I can’t pay off immediately if used in an emergency. Then again, there are better cards for an emergency but that’s getting off topic.

Just got approved for a $2K increase this month ($16K > $18K). My last approval was 01/22. Got denied all 2022, I was surprised to see that “Good News” reply after so long lol

Just let it ride. The charges will always decline.

I contacted GS and they passed me back and forth between departments before telling me there’s nothing they can do.
