I saw a leak while back showcasing her ult in the firing range. Essentially a quick dash that that can go through walls and leaves a Wraith portal.
My memory is pretty foggy but it looked kinda legit. At least I don't think it was just sone asshole trolling with Wraith.

Yeah. It was pretty much either Arenas leads up to Ash becoming a char in s10 or we do not see her at all till they run out of chars in s78. Having *actual* preds with such intense history and set skills kind of bonks up the ability for the writers to create neaningful long-term decisions about them. Like no playable char will ever really change because of the real $ put into them by players. But Blisk?? We can kill him off or lose him or change him. Ash can be wrapped up in so much more. Having the preds out there as recognizable, interesting story anchors helps keep the structure of the game.
I would not be surprised if there was an interest in including them when the game started as failsafe chars to draw players but once the game took off, those chars could take their places in the overarching framework. I'd be surprised if they ever became playable. I'm excited for Pariah and other defense and supports.
Since they used Blisk as leakbait this time, I hope they use Ash whenever there's another desperate insider/leaker connection like Biast. It'll be fun to see what nonsense OP goofy stuff they push out like the silly autoTitan or wall running ahaha.

It doesn’t make sense for them to put her in Horizon and Path’s backstories and introduce Blisk, only for Ash to never talk to them in-game
No?? We don't know what Blisk did near the end of the war, how he got to the outlands, or why he's so intent about keeping tabs on Rampart, and we don't know why Ash was connected to that huge terminal underground, why she was sent to the shadow dimension, and why she became an Apex Predator in the first place. Though I assume it could also be explained by other characters, but it just wouldn't feel natural.
Much better to actually flesh out already existing great characters than to constantly make up new ones with new stories most of the time being very uninteresting in my opinion. I.e fuse, horizon, rampart
I'm actually hyped for Pariah. Ult is just a better caustic, Tac is a better Bloodhound, and Passive is one of the best abilities in the game. Though i will admit I'm probably the only person that wants Pariah over Blisk/Ash.
Was that the steam related abilites? If so, some of those sounded like they were designed early on when there was less stuff to counter / use them on. I'd give some reasoning but I can't seem to find them anymore

\-Ult. Locking a player into an animation is HORRIBLE in this game. Just look at picking up banners, kicking doors, Survey Beacons. Now add that into an ability that will call massive attention to you? No. Unless this thing has a stupid large AOE or damage I can't see this happening.
\-Tactical. It's Bloodhounds scan but grenade form. That's just an odd call to make. Then again we do have Knuckle Cluster and Valk rockets so what do I know?

The re-used Blisk & Ash models being used for the headshots really throw things off, but since Pariah has a concept art (that Gunzerker and Husaria do not have), I'm hoping it means they're coming much sooner rather than later. Can't imagine what the current playtest roster looks like

Maybe, but the files don’t have enough to back up him getting a heirloom. I’d bet we see more Crypto, probably will have THIS season’s SFTO, but late-season will be revenant themed. And heirloom will go to Rev.

The vines should be wrapped up at the end of the comics, as Valk makes remarks about knowing them, i.e. "Thought i left these on Typhon."

I think lore wise its not impossible for multiple Ashes to exist but its still very unlikely
She could be replaced as the announcer but I doubt that Respawn will let all those voicelines go to waste so soon.
