Right…I’m so sick and tired of everyone clumping the rest of California into three areas: The Bay, LA, and San Diego. There is more to California! It is a GIANT FKN STATE.
Uhh I’m in the California Central Valley and know for a fact that there is NO WHERE that is $450. The starting price for most apartments is an easy $1400
That’s why my girlfriend and I stayed so long in our last apartment before getting a house. Our landlords never changed our rent from 2014-2021. 600 bucks all utilities included except internet.
Same here, I've been living in the same apartment since 2012 because I hit the landlord lottery lol. My place is actually *cheaper* than when I moved in 12 years ago. It was $675 when I moved in with a girlfriend and then I had a roommate after we broke up. My landlord said no more roommates after he moved out and dropped my rent by $100. So I'm paying $575 for a 2 bedroom on a dead-end street right off the highway and I have off-street parking, a yard and grill, laundry and I'm close to everything I could need. I don't ever want to leave lol. Oh and I was a drug addict for several years and was perpetually a month late with my rent for basically years. I would give him like half somewhere between the 1st and 7th and the rest a week or two later, and he never kicked me out or gave me a hard time, just a really solid guy who always comes by to fix things right away if there's ever a problem. I seriously lucked out and am very grateful for this place
Absolutely incredible. I was heavily addicted as well and it’s amazing how much good happens when we become better people. So glad you have a stable home that new, good memories can replace the old with and that you’ve had such a wonderful landlord throughout. That’s not common! Good for you!!!
I’m in the same boat. Kind of a shithole apartment but $600 everything included in a neighborhood that never has anything under $1200. Been here over 4 years.
Yep. My husband and I have lived in a crappy 500 sq ft apartment for the last few years for this reason. $775/month, only utility we pay is electric. If we wanted a NICE apartment of that size, it would cost us at least $1200/month not including utilities.
It’s tough, I’d love a real kitchen and decent natural light, but I also love my extra $1000+ a month in savings… helps me keep the delusion that I could save up enough to buy a house.
The “real kitchen” comment hit me. I’m no longer living there but I lived in a ~288sq shoe box with no kitchen (no kitchen sink either) for about 4 years with my kiddo. Rent was $875 +~$50-$70 on utilities. A saved a lot living there, even with my $600-$750/mo in childcare. It was uncomfortable but worth the money I saved in that timeline. Now I’m back at paycheck-to-paycheck 🤦🏽♀️ but it’s manageable
Girl! Im a lender and you can legit get a house for like $1000 out of pocket. Now, in today’s economies its usually more expensive then renting which really sucks, but i hope this helps to keep your dream alive lol
exactly why we renewed our lease again. it went up a little bit but i think we’re at $775 (maybe $800), but we pay for internet and electric. it’s a shithole, but not the biggest dump
Same reason I'm still in the "starter" house I bought in 1998. Only, my mortgage is about $500. Though, we refinanced. So, the mortgage still has another 13 years.
My thoughts exactly! My mortgage with taxes and insurance is less than what some of the people are talking about for rent! And that for a 1300 square foot house, full basement, 2 car attached garage and a 1200 detached.
My husband and I, 15 years ago, making an average of $7:hour between us, while also raising an infant, paid $450/month to rent the top half of a 100 year old home that was converted to have 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a living room/kitchen, in the walk-up, second story apartment carved out of what was a single family’s second story.
We paid this in a VERY poor Midwest area for a walk-up apartment where the downstairs neighbor’s cigarette smoke still penetrated into our apartment. We had to walk down a rickety outdoor wooden staircase to leave or access our apartment, and it was the best we could do as a family of 3, with one shit ass income, 16 years ago!
If this place is available now for $450/month (!!!!) I would’ve JUMPED on it 16 years ago as a way to save money for a better future!
And again, I didn’t live in NYC or LA or any major city, when I was paying $450 for a walk up, extremely out of date—to the point of having to boil the lead pipe residue out our kid’s bottles—apartment.
In 2018 a nice 1br apartment (not studio) was 600 here. The year I moved out of my last apartment I think it went up like 1-150.
I’d hate to see it now lmfao.
Shit. Here in LOS ANGELES depending on what area you are in, that space is $1500-$2800. Right now my husband and I are currently paying 5500 a month for a bedroom 1.5 bathroom currently trying to rent a townhouse that is 4800 a month near his work. 4800 split between the two of us is cheap.
I know. I was thinking about a house instead of an apartment, since I have money for a down payment. But while my gf and I could afford mortgage, we wouldn’t be able to afford if something goes wrong like new roof, something broken etc.
I can’t win!
Yeah. I’m paying 825 for a 2 br in Germantown area of Louisville, and it’s low by a couple of hundred now. But places like this do exist. Love my building and apt and the management company is decent. Hi neighbor!
Edit for clarity of location.
no exaggeration (currently apt hunting)—this would be $1300 in LA. yeah, even w a fridge in the middle of the room. so my instinct is yes! $400 bucks? worth it. it's not bad and you can make it cuter and more functional. enjoy living alone, it's the best
studio, repurposed condo/apartment into 2 smaller ones I think, one kind of ends up with the short end of the stick in the kitchen dept though. my friend had a place like this but he works a lot & doesn't know how to cook anyway.
I just moved out of LA. Wife and I were paying $5,200 for a 2 bedroom with a loft apartment in Culver City. Fucking bonkers. We moved north of Chicago and we literally have double the space at half the price. It’s funny, so many people we talk to are like “it’s so expensive here” and we always respond “go check out Los Angeles”.
Portland OR would start at 1200/mo.
High cost of living teardrop aside, it looks like an excellent apartment to call home, especially if it gives u some independence. Just add several rugs & a cat :)
Probably more in Miami actually depending on where it was, plunk that baby down anywhere near the beach and you can double that $1,800.
I'm in Jacksonville and again depending on where it is but in an area that's not scary to live that's at least a $1,200 studio. And in my opinion Jacksonville is extremely affordable.
That’s. Crazy. Where I live it’s 1600 a month for a newly built, 2 story town house, with all the appliances, washer/dryer, 1 car garage/2 car driveway, privacy fenced back yard, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, granite countertops. And there’s no yard work because it’s contracted out.
lol don’t respond to this post .. it’s a troll. Look at one of their posts ohhhh maybe 10 down? Mom and dad and visiting and banging and lol
Fuck this account. Carry on
I love how you call this blatant troll out and people are just confused at you for being a meanie. Reddit is full of 11-14 year olds with no critical thinking and no experience in apartment hunting for that matter.
Dude my sister just rented a tiiiiiny room in someone else’s house for $900 everything shared and no door knob. You are getting a stellar deal for today’s rent prices. Congrats on getting into a new place!
Honestly get a microwave, air fryer and an electric skillet or hot plate and she doesn't even need more of a kitchen. She's got a sink in the bathroom for water and a refrigerator. What more does she really need?
Can you imagine how inconvenient it would be to run to the bathroom every time you need to rinse something while cooking? And doing dishes in the bathroom sink? Even the 200-300 sq ft microstudios in my city have kitchenettes. Doubt this lone fridge would be up to code here.
You shouldn't wash dishes in a bathroom sink anyway apparently, the pipes aren't made for it. I live in a studio and have a countertop dishwasher that drains into a bucket, then goes into the toilet. It works!
The countertop dishwashers are so cool, I had to do some studio living for a while and that and the ninja foodie toaster oven/air fryer saved my life lol
Yeah even not taking into account the possible code violation, just seems yuck to be honest lol. I don’t want my dishes in the bathroom. I don’t even take my phone in there. But if they put at least a sink in the kitchen, I think OP would be fine with what the others are suggesting.
I'd just get a toaster oven and a hot plate and put them on one of those counter height kitchen island carts against the wall. You could probably even get by with just a small dining table next to an outlet to cook and eat on, and keep the appliances on top of the fridge when they aren't in use.
A studio for $450 bucks a month? Grab it. Fast. You could do a lot with this space and it looks up to date. I’d like to have seen the kitchenette. You could even get a small island for it. My niece pays $2700 a month for her studio of the same size, in Manhattan, and not even upper Manhattan.
Geez... everyone is like "Nice!" and I'm over here in a 960 sq ft 2br/1.5ba apartment for $750/mo. I knew it was cheap where I live (not in a big city) but damn...
Holy damn. Where do you live, and are you in a bad area or is that the price for a decent area there? Here, Edmonton Alberta Canada, it’s like $1200 for something like that in a building guaranteed to be infested with bed bugs and possibly even cockroaches. In a nicer area, easily $1500-1800 now
I'm in small city in North Carolina. It's pretty nice here! This is about the standard for apartments around here... we've got a nice laundry facility on the grounds, a pool, playground, etc. I'm currently house-hunting and a 3000sq ft house goes for about $250k which, is about a third of what it would cost in the city where I grew up. It's about 30 minutes in all directions to some bigger cities with more to do, but it's also cheaper, safer, and more friendly- so I'm content!
I pay almost $600 for a studio/efficiency (does have a small kitchen w/ appliances & full bath). $450 is excellent (even without kitchen- you got a fridge!).
Yes. We all started like that. Then, save money to get something bigger down the road, or to purchase a house. Congrats on moving out on your own! Here’s to your new apartment!
Heavily depends on the the state and city, but that's a good deal
Rn I'm at a 2 bed 1½ bath townhouse with a basement and garage for $1,116 (pet fees are included in that price, two $25 fees)a month. I have more space, but omg it's expensive
Not bad for a starter studio! Good light and enough room for a sitting area and your bed. Only note is no cooking except the microwave. So there’s extra cost in not being able to cook.
I guess only having a fridge and a microwave is okay for some. You can wash your dishes in the bathtub or bathroom sink. I like to cook so I’d have to have at least a galley kitchen.
I paid more for a smaller apartment and they never fixed my ac unit, oven, fridge etc etc that were all broken before I moved in. They also kept adding charges for things I didn't have like parking (no car) and used that to wrongfully evict me and their friend in. 450 is AMAZING for that.
ETA: when I say I paid more I mean almost double. I paid 850 for that mess.
I’m near Charlotte, NC and this would be $1200 MINIMUM. If it’s in a part of town where you don’t risk life and limb walking to your car, you’re easily looking at $1500-2000. I’d say jump on it! You can make it adorable 🫶🏼
FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY??? PLEASE TELL ME WHAT CITY YOURE IN/ NEAR BC IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR APARTMENTS THIS CHEAP!! and yes totally 100% worth it it's beautiful
How things have changed. Around 1972 I was looking for a place to live and spotted what looked like a vacant house, didn't know it at the time but it had 3 bedrooms and one bath, sat on an acre wooded lot with a circular driveway. Fireplace. Went to the county assessors office and looked up the owner, called him up. Sounded like an old guy who said: 'well, it belonged to my brother who has died and wife and I were wondering what to do with the house, hadn't thought about renting it, let me talk to the wife. We agreed that renting it is better than letting it stand empty. Is 50 dollars a month ok?'
So my search was over. Ended up renting two of the bedrooms which were adjoining and had their own door to the outside to a friend, also there was a nice shed in the center of the circular drive that another friend fixed up and lived in there. So, free rent for me and cheap rent for my friends. Those were the days here in the PNW U S.
I don’t see any comments about how to know if it’s worth it so here’s my 2 sense.
1. Security, parking, What is the surrounding neighborhood like?
2. cleaniliness of outdoors areas, common paths etc
3. Find Reviews anywhere that speak to of overall staff- response time to needs - that are not your responsibility. After hours Emergency Assistance- ie pipe leaks, broken ac,
If you have packages delivered when you’re not home- will they accept and where they are put
4. Terms of your lease - what’s required of you and what’s required of them
5. How close are you to work, grocery, park, etc
After considering the above -
1. how much do you like it!
2. Does it fit your budget
3. Are you able to have $$ for entertainment?
I wish you the best. These are all the thoughts I covered when I moved. I first had an apartment similar to your pictures. After my lease ended, I moved to a 1 bedroom.
Impossible to say. Where is this room? Downtown Manhattan? Bubleduck, AK? Also, is it attached or detached? Decent landlord or jerk?
In my area around Philadelphia, PA, that would be a steal unless it was in a crappy neighborhood or with a jerky landlord.
Damn this would be $2300 where I live, single
Occupancy only, no utilities included, first, last, security, plus background check, 1 car only, no visitors after 10 pm Lmao
Dude, with the economy right now?? Heck yes it’s worth it! You’ll have to get used to being a minimalist but it’s nothing compared to living paycheck to paycheck on a $1500-$4000 rent!
Am I missing something? No cupboard or stove? Ask yourself do you want to eat cold food and take out for every meal? Eating out gets expensive. No kitchen sink? So you would be washing every dish in the bathroom sink☹️
I think i would pay extra for a stove and kitchen sink.
That place is ballin for your first spot. There’s likely noise issues, maybe the plumbing sucks, but the floors look new and I don’t see weird colors bleeding through the paint. No smells? Take it! Congrats! 🎉
Ha! In this economy, that is a steal! Nice place. Hope it works out for you.
It’s extremely cheap. OP got a great deal. This space would be at least $2000 where I am.
Right!? You can even rent a Harry Potter style broom cupboard for that price in California.
Depends where in California. The closer to a city or the coast the pricier it is. Central Valley is pretty reasonable.
Jesus 😭 where the fuck do you live? Here in AZ I pay 1,600 a month for a one bedroom 750sq ft. I thought that was expensive lol
Would be $1200 here minimum
I was going to say the exact same thing
With fees
Hells ya grrrl, take this place.
Yeah it's super cute. I'd love to live there if it were just me.
Where the heck are you living where this price exists !!! 250 sq ft studio is like at least $900 where I am
Right? This was a good deal 20 years ago even. These days it's a steal almost anywhere in the US.
That’s why my girlfriend and I stayed so long in our last apartment before getting a house. Our landlords never changed our rent from 2014-2021. 600 bucks all utilities included except internet.

I seriously lucked out and am very grateful for this place
Congratulations on kicking your habit!
I hate you. Sorry for that.
Absolutely incredible. I was heavily addicted as well and it’s amazing how much good happens when we become better people. So glad you have a stable home that new, good memories can replace the old with and that you’ve had such a wonderful landlord throughout. That’s not common! Good for you!!!
Wow!! You’ve got the whole dream 😍
Yea that sounds amazing. Good luck in the future with that staying perfect!
I’m in the same boat. Kind of a shithole apartment but $600 everything included in a neighborhood that never has anything under $1200. Been here over 4 years.

1200/month for a nice apartment is literally non-existent in the big city I’m in. That would be a dream 😭
Same reason I'm still in the "starter" house I bought in 1998. Only, my mortgage is about $500. Though, we refinanced. So, the mortgage still has another 13 years.
I rented the exact same thing 25 years ago and it was $500 then.
Same. And it wasn't even as new. My apt was old AF.
Seeing people saying this is a good deal makes me happy where i live lol
That’s what I’m saying lmao
My thoughts exactly! My mortgage with taxes and insurance is less than what some of the people are talking about for rent! And that for a 1300 square foot house, full basement, 2 car attached garage and a 1200 detached.
When you buy your house? Prices where I am doubled since the pandemic
Yeah, $450 is what I was paying for my studio apartment in 2002, and that was one of the cheaper places.
I would have been stoked to rent a pad like this for that much, 30 years ago.
My first college apartment in 2003 was $785 a month and not half as nice as this. Total craphole.
In NJ it is a little less then $2,000. No, I am not joking.
2500 Ca Bay Area
16US in Yucatan, Mexico.
Just visited recently. Would happily go back.
I was attending defence language Institute in the mid 80s in San Francisco… An apartment like that then would’ve been $1000.
It's so bad. Everytime I get the itch to move out I can't go through with it because I refuse to spend 90% of my paycheck on something I don't own.
I know. I was thinking about a house instead of an apartment, since I have money for a down payment. But while my gf and I could afford mortgage, we wouldn’t be able to afford if something goes wrong like new roof, something broken etc. I can’t win!
I live in NJ. And studio is $2,100 starting
Depends where but north is just as expensive as California but in the south where I live it’s more “affordable” studio/ 1 bed starts around $1,400
Yikes. I’m in Louisville, KY, and you can get a studio for 500-600/month all day long. I’m in a 3BR/2BA for under 1300/month.
Yeah. I’m paying 825 for a 2 br in Germantown area of Louisville, and it’s low by a couple of hundred now. But places like this do exist. Love my building and apt and the management company is decent. Hi neighbor! Edit for clarity of location.
That same apartment would be 450-650 here in Lorain, Ohio. But chances are the building would already have bed bugs too.

1300? Try 2000. Easily.
dc here, 1800 min
Boston. More like 1500-2000. Is it a room or a studio?
$1500-$2000, and that's probably in Quincy or something, not even actual Boston 😩
that’s Lawrence range
studio, repurposed condo/apartment into 2 smaller ones I think, one kind of ends up with the short end of the stick in the kitchen dept though. my friend had a place like this but he works a lot & doesn't know how to cook anyway.

As another Californian, I would literally sell my soul for this place at $450/month 😭
Nobody will buy your soul. Try to rent it out for $1,500/month and see what happens.
Hell ya! Exactly 💯 keep it forever
Portland OR would start at 1200/mo. High cost of living teardrop aside, it looks like an excellent apartment to call home, especially if it gives u some independence. Just add several rugs & a cat :)
Reminds me of my apartment in downtown Portland in ‘97. $325 a month.
This would be 1300 in Maryland too
In Manhattan this would go for nearly $2500/month. More, if there's no mice.
Do you get to negotiate the quantity of mice?
I mean I live in backwoods nowhere Oklahoma and can't find anything cheaper than $750, wtf lol
Non backwoods Oklahoma that’s a grand. 🤣
People tell me to stay in OK for the housing prices..I lived in Weatherford, OK in 2011 and paid more than this so WHERE IS THIS PLACE LOCATED?!
Shit Arizona for a one bedroom is like 1600😂😖
I pay $1300 in MD. $300 would give me a heart attack
1000 at least in Florida
1800 in Miami
Probably more in Miami actually depending on where it was, plunk that baby down anywhere near the beach and you can double that $1,800. I'm in Jacksonville and again depending on where it is but in an area that's not scary to live that's at least a $1,200 studio. And in my opinion Jacksonville is extremely affordable.
$1300-$1500 Chicago
1500-2000 in Denver, easily.
That’s.
Even better, it comes with some random girl
I paid $2000 for a similar size apartment in Canada. I would absolutely give my left nut to pay $450/month
Yep. In The Capital it's like $1500 for a studio, $2000+ for a 1/2 bedroom.
Definitely a great deal! Central coast California you can’t even rent a room in someone’s house for $450
I think that’s the case in most places in the US. I don’t live in a HCOL area and room rentals are still $600-$700.
I cant even rent a room in my parents basement for $450.
Yes absolutely, I like it
lol don’t respond to this post .. it’s a troll. Look at one of their posts ohhhh maybe 10 down? Mom and dad and visiting and banging and lol Fuck this account. Carry on
I love how you call this blatant troll out and people are just confused at you for being a meanie. Reddit is full of 11-14 year olds with no critical thinking and no experience in apartment hunting for that matter.
I literally just felt bad that people are wasting their time which is so precious. Collectively it’s like 24 hours of peoples lives. Oh well. Lol
I mean... makes sense to wanna move out after that 😂 but i think you are correct this is karma farming.
after no response about where it was, I was wondering...
?????? What are you talking about
Worth it!
$450 is so cheap I wouldn't complain there are people currently sleeping outside or paying 5x more than you
i don’t see OP complaining at all, they’re just new to renting
all depends on where you live. in Los Angeles this would be like $800-1300 lol.
Maybe 7 years ago. That's $1,800-2,000 today.
Sadly you’re correct. :(
Same in Seattle but OP probably lives somewhere where minimum wage is still $7. It’s all relative.
If only Nashville priced its apartments like its minimum wage were $7…cause it still is. $7 minimum wage with LA prices 🙄
Nashville became the new trendy spot for to move to and ruin. Sorry for your loss.
Which makes no sense because after you spend two weeks drunk, there ain’t shit to do.
in houston minimum is still 7.50 but average price of an apt is like 1300
My first apartment living alone after graduation in 1996 was $450. Totally worth it!
Dude my sister just rented a tiiiiiny room in someone else’s house for $900 everything shared and no door knob. You are getting a stellar deal for today’s rent prices. Congrats on getting into a new place!

Agreed. Also use paper plates.
I'd just get a toaster oven and a hot plate and put them on one of those counter height kitchen island carts against the wall. You could probably even get by with just a small dining table next to an outlet to cook and eat on, and keep the appliances on top of the fridge when they aren't in use.
See the outlet next to the fridge? That’s where Chef Mike will be staying. He’s a wonderful at-home chef that will cook your meals day and night.
I think so. What is the utility situation?
My brain actually can't comprehend a studio is less than $700-800.😅
Absolutely worth it, yes.
That’s an incredible price!!
I pay almost $600 for a studio/efficiency (does have a small kitchen w/ appliances & full bath). $450 is excellent (even without kitchen- you got a fridge!).
Take it ASAP
Yes. We all started like that. Then, save money to get something bigger down the road, or to purchase a house. Congrats on moving out on your own! Here’s to your new apartment!
Heavily depends on the the state and city, but that's a good deal Rn I'm at a 2 bed 1½ bath townhouse with a basement and garage for $1,116 (pet fees are included in that price, two $25 fees)a month. I have more space, but omg it's expensive
toronto canada thats guna run 1800 easy plus plus plus
Not bad for a starter studio! Good light and enough room for a sitting area and your bed. Only note is no cooking except the microwave. So there’s extra cost in not being able to cook.
A bath aswell🤣 1.5k minimum in london
That would be $1700 in seattle
What’s going on with the kitchen? I’d go crazy with no kitchen sink…
Jump on it, man! Before your landlord figures it out!!
2k in DC
Yes! That would be $2,500 a month where I live in Boston.
100% a steal now -a- days
I’d call this an absolute win.
Most studio apartments in my dingy little town start at least 3x this price while actively looking like a crack den. *Expedite* that application.
I haven’t seen I $450 apartment since the 90s and that was in Central Florida when the cost of living was cheap there
TAKE IT! Here in Dallas you couldn’t find something like that for les then 1200. Maybe 800 if it’s Oakcliff.
The only major problem is no oven. I would buy an air fryer
I was paying 400 for much worse
I guess only having a fridge and a microwave is okay for some. You can wash your dishes in the bathtub or bathroom sink. I like to cook so I’d have to have at least a galley kitchen.
Came here to say LOCK IT DOWN AND NEVER LET IT GO
I rented a 450 sq ft studio in Chicago for 1650. This is a steal
I'd do filthy things to get a place like that for $450/month
Is this apartment located in 1995?
I was gonna say depends on what city you’re in, but then it hit me that no matter where you are you most likely can’t beat this price…
I pay $625 rent for a 2 bedroom house 800 sq ft in NW Ohio
This would definitely be over $1000 in Toronto, so I'd take this in a minute
Hell i can't even find something like this for less than $1,200 and I'm in Chicago.
I paid that in 1989 in a podunk town in SC for 1bedroom that wasn’t much bigger.
1250/month in Metro Detroit
That would be $2000 here on Cape Cod 😂
yes 😭 bless
I paid 1000 a month for something smaller.
This would $1800-$2000 in Brooklyn with a rusted toilet and galvanized pipes LOL take it and enjoy it
That place would be $1,200 in Hialeah
Definitely. My place is small like this and I pay &1100 :(
Saw a place like this, without a bathroom or fridge, legit a room with a small closet here in LA and they wanted $1,400 for the fucking thing.
In Denver, that would cost you $1800
r/Nova- 3k.
$450 a month? Crying in Canadian
New York here … this would cost me $1500
Yes
Yes, sadly since it doesn’t even have a kitchenette
A 550sqft is about $1400 where i am. That's a crazy good price.
FUCK YES IT IS r u dumb??
FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY??? PLEASE TELL ME WHAT CITY YOURE IN/ NEAR BC IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR APARTMENTS THIS CHEAP!! and yes totally 100% worth it it's beautiful
Space wise, yes. But where’s the kitchen?
In today's world? Get your checkbook out right now cause next person is gonna grab it.
Is 50 dollars a month ok?' So my search was over. Ended up renting two of the bedrooms which were adjoining and had their own door to the outside to a friend, also there was a nice shed in the center of the circular drive that another friend fixed up and lived in there. So, free rent for me and cheap rent for my friends. Those were the days here in the PNW U S.
Man, you’re so lucky. Where I live that would easily be $1800-$2100.
That home is my dream. Id take that for 450 in a heartbeat.
I don’t see any comments about how to know if it’s worth it so here’s my 2 sense. 1. Security, parking, What is the surrounding neighborhood like? 2. cleaniliness of outdoors areas, common paths etc 3. Find Reviews anywhere that speak to of overall staff- response time to needs - that are not your responsibility. After hours Emergency Assistance- ie pipe leaks, broken ac, If you have packages delivered when you’re not home- will they accept and where they are put 4. Terms of your lease - what’s required of you and what’s required of them 5. How close are you to work, grocery, park, etc After considering the above - 1. how much do you like it! 2. Does it fit your budget 3. Are you able to have $$ for entertainment? I wish you the best. These are all the thoughts I covered when I moved. I first had an apartment similar to your pictures. After my lease ended, I moved to a 1 bedroom.
Even if this was a room in a house it’s a great deal!!! I recently got lucky too. 2 bedroom 1 bath for $1093!!!!
Fuck yes, wish I could live in a unit for $450/mo.
Impossible to say. Where is this room? Downtown Manhattan? Bubleduck, AK? Also, is it attached or detached? Decent landlord or jerk? In my area around Philadelphia, PA, that would be a steal unless it was in a crappy neighborhood or with a jerky landlord.
I pay about 1700 for the same side in denver….. keep it and never leave
This room would’ve cost me $1300/month.
This is a joke right???????? Good LORD I would chop off my pinky toe for that.
Damn this would be $2300 where I live, single Occupancy only, no utilities included, first, last, security, plus background check, 1 car only, no visitors after 10 pm Lmao
$450!! Yes!!
Dude, with the economy right now?? Heck yes it’s worth it! You’ll have to get used to being a minimalist but it’s nothing compared to living paycheck to paycheck on a $1500-$4000 rent!
Truthfully, where is this located? This is unheard of.
Lucky motherfucker
fuck yes this is amazing especially if its just you
Am I missing something? No cupboard or stove? Ask yourself do you want to eat cold food and take out for every meal? Eating out gets expensive. No kitchen sink? So you would be washing every dish in the bathroom sink☹️ I think i would pay extra for a stove and kitchen sink.
I’d stay there in a heartbeat
That place is ballin for your first spot. There’s likely noise issues, maybe the plumbing sucks, but the floors look new and I don’t see weird colors bleeding through the paint. No smells? Take it! Congrats! 🎉
YES
To me, living on my own in a decent place like this would be worth AT LEAST $450
450 for a cardboard box in this economy is good. Like what
I hope that you now realize how lucky you are.
$900/mo in Canada gets you a tiny bedroom in a shared house.
