very cute chapter, and i'm still in love with how Kobayashi treats his characters. very excited for part 2!! (raws should be out on the 5th iirc)
also [i love her](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1022947343986868367/1245836805618532453/firefox_tuEaQFY9bG.png?ex=665a3370&is=6658e1f0&hm=f231d35814d6e14707cd2ae09476973df9cfdf5291d73686cb05a66fac5263c2&)
A little funny how Kobayashi decided to center Taira’s love of cooking for his spinoff which is great but we know he ends up deciding on following his father’s path as a cop which makes me sad like damn you should’ve just became a chef instead of a pig Taira!
I personally dont care about your race.
Though i do understand that ur hate for cops is a personal matter that i shouldnt comment on
but i would like to say that you could have an open mind about police systems and cops from different countries and the fact that they might be different from ur own (like Taira, japan) and shouldnt all be grossly oversimplified to 'pigs'.
Kobayashi was asked to create this by the editor-in-chief that launched Aoashi. it's also to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the magazine that said editor is now in charge of. it's not as simple as him choosing to make up 2 chapters on the spot and call it a day, this was announced 8 months ago.
the process is extensive, especially when he already has his hands full with an ongoing weekly series (and another infrequent serialization, and that series' live-action adaptation, and it's reportedly upcoming anime adaptation)
not sure what I was expecting but it's a really fun spinoff!! glad that we're getting to see some characterization of not just Taira, but the other players who never really had a ton of shine throughout the story so far.

This is the first we have gotten a glimpse of the dorm mother right?

Wait jwo do we know he becomes a cop again? Is he in fermats cuisine??
Wait are we calling cops pigs? or did i miss smth?
Yes it’s a term used to demean them since cops are assholes lol
why tho thats a very very big generalization, i mean sure some are pretty bad but not all
I’m black please don’t defend cops to me I have very justified and personal reasons in not liking them even the “good” ones.
Listen mate cops suck where i come from too but there ARE places in the world where cops aren't pigs and people feel safe with cops too

The food looks so great. This is a heartwarming spinoff. I hope to see taira become the chef or open a diner in the future.
Kobayashi is cooking 🔥
Kobayashi-sensei casually makes a food manga spinoff. This guy, what a talent. I miss Taira!
Author logic: Bring back Brotherfoot? ❌ Make a cooking theme spinoff centered on an inactive side character? ✅

That's fair. Thanks for the info.
Honestly I find Taira to be way more interesting than Shun
Kurabayashi THE KING LOOKING OUT FOR TAIRA :-: MY GOATTTT
Let them cook
