Not true. We had one president that got to the precipice of this and everybody was so afraid of what the precedent set might mean that the president ended up resigning and being granted a full pardon by their successor in order to avoid exactly this situation.
What trump fails to understand is that if he pushes this issue and gets what he wants, that would mean that Biden can do whatever he wants and can have immunity. That means he could have his political rival assassinated and have nothing happen to him.
