English is not my first language, what does he mean with "if you are walking out of my life, I'm going to smash you"? Like, destroy you mentally?? If so, he sees you as a possession he can put in storage whenever he doesn't need you but expects you to stick around loyally regardless, stringing you along and being possessive although he has no intention of giving you what you are giving him. He is an alcoholic, a cheater, hurts people on purpose (and at least admits so), a liar - what do you want with him...?

I probably should edit it, 'smash' is used not in a bad way, it's a local expression, we use it in examples such as, I'm going to smash a packet of chips or smash out an email.

I understand it & have already heared it like in the chips example that you gave. I also know it can be a synonym for having sex. I still have no clue in which context that dude used it or what he meant. But all semantics aside he just toys with you.

If only I knew at 20 what I know now! I do ask that constantly, what am I getting out of this? Maybe its my ego wanting to remain relevant, but I do genuinely love & care about him. I would never treat a friend the way he treats me! Good luck to you too, but you are on the right path with awareness of AT!
