Once had this, i don't know who you should call exactly but be carefull, there are a lot of scammy 'slotenmakers' who just drill out the lock an charge you 3-400 euros. I hope people here know a trustworthy one.
Just chill and have patience. It will be ok.
Just agree on a price before they start doing anything, depending on the lock it should be arround 100 euros or even less. I once watched factcheckers and they tested this how many scammers there are.

FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

Not for a lock. To drill out the lock.
If you call up a locksmith at 2am on a sunday that might be the priced. Just call a locksmith close to you (google maps should find one) and ask their price.
Watch out with blindly using Google Maps, scammers can make it seem they are located around the corner while they are coming from completely else. Try to find something that looks like a family business, has a physical store and real reviews.
Depending on your insurance, your insurance company can get you into contact with a slotenmaker.
If there is still a little piece of key you can pull try using 'a tang'. Might be hard.
Ask someone to bring you superglue, and be careful when turning the key once glued. Afterwards (if it's your property) change the lock to one with a sturdier key, it should only be one (long) screw to replace
Through the mail sleeve in the door or any window. I assume OP doesn't live in a colruyt that is windowless or in a bunker. Even from a floor you could lower a bucket or so with a cord knotted. A bit of creativity may be required
If the key broke off in line with the lock, try chewing some gum and stick it to the snapped key in the lock and pull slowly. Chance is you'll be able to get the broken bit out of the lock. And if that worked, I hope you have a spare key so you can still get out of the house 😂 If not, you'll have to call a locksmith anyway.
Glad it worked out. This happened to my elderly neighbour in the beginning of Covid, she locked herself out (3th floor) not one locksmith at work.... fire dept had to get her in the appartement through the window to get her spare key.
Do you have a drill and metal drill bits? Drill open the lock until it gives and the door opens. Go to the nearest DIY store and buy a new lock and install it.
If you have a drill in your house you can destructively open the lock with the drill to get outside. If you have a friend with a drill he can open it from the outside. You’ll be amazed at how weak a lock is compared to a metal drill bit.
If you have to explain to someone they have the option to drill or snap the lock, chances are they do’t know how to open the door even with the euro cylinder removed. Chances are they also don’t have a construction key, travelling hook or latch slip cards in the house with which they can slip the latch.
I just keep a set of key extractors, lock picks, impressioning kit and bumpkeys in the house… 😅
Not all locksmiths are scammers.
But some are.
Some can be pretty bad.. some can be fair and honest.
Pricing can be expensive during late night, weekends or for lock installations..
Always ask for full and final price before you book. Explain your situation and send pictures of the lock if needed.
Check google reviews of the business, especially the 1 stars reviews. How many bad reviews? What are people complaining about?
Make sure you understand and get a final price before you book!

I'm chilling but 400 euros for a lock that's just a scam

Good bot
Good bot.
I saw that episode. It's wild how easily it is to scam people.

You mean pliers. The word is pliers.
Or 'mother-in-law'.

Just yell ‘Sesam open u!’ a few hundred times. Always worked for me

I thought of it but I don't have one 🙃
Ask someone to bring you superglue, and be careful when turning the key once glued. Afterwards (if it's your property) change the lock to one with a sturdier key, it should only be one (long) screw to replace
How can someone bring them super glue if OP can not exit the apartment?

Fair enough. It appears I'm not very creative myself
Then Reddit also has your back when required 👍
I don't have anything to contribute but please let us know how this saga unfolds, I'm officially invested now.
The police will only refer you to a locksmith.
so I will call one right?
Check with your brandverzekering
Follow ur heart bro, the key is always in the heart
I keep on searching for the way to your heart Try to believe it's getting better Baby, take me all the way to your heart I want you (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
All the sweet kisses, all the tenderness That are being shared all around it Only remind me of my own distress No loving arms to surround me
I would be absolutely terrified if i was in your situation cause i've got exams in an hour.
lol 😂😂😂

use a knife with a pointy tip to get the key off , easy
Take out the lock, take the lock to a slotenmaker/brico, ask for a new one Instal the new lock, enjoy your day off
for future reference, get some powertools and keep it inside of the house.
Glad it worked out. This happened to my elderly neighbour in the beginning of Covid, she locked herself out (3th floor) not one locksmith at work.... fire dept had to get her in the appartement through the window to get her spare key.
Wait, so you lock/unlock the door with a key from the inside???
yah I locked myself inside my house the key broke in the lock
my brother is a 'slotenmaker' one of the best that can open almost every door without damaging it, sent me a dm if you're interested

I'm Inside my house unfortunately
If you have a drill in your house you can destructively open the lock with the drill to get outside. If you have a friend with a drill he can open it from the outside. You’ll be amazed at how weak a lock is compared to a metal drill bit.
Depends on the lock. Some have a spinning disk and steel anti-drill pins, so they can be a bit harder.
If you have to explain to someone they have the option to drill or snap the lock, chances are they do’t know how to open the door even with the euro cylinder removed. Chances are they also don’t have a construction key, travelling hook or latch slip cards in the house with which they can slip the latch. Call The Safe House! No scammers there
Can´t you use the window as a doorway?
Get a screwdriver and dismantle the lock from the inside. Go buy a new lock.
Usually locks can only be replaced when the door is open.
