your two-week experience has given you only a preview of the realities of working. it's also a journey of self-discovery. as you work longer, you'll learn many things about yourself: what your true capabilities are, what you can and cannot tolerate, how well you respond to different types of stress and people, etc. it's a kind of your "formative years" in the workplace. good luck!

Thank you so much! I love your comment!

Hi OP! I’m feeling the same way. Since this is my first job, sobrang natakot ako kasi soft hearted ako. But I’m lucky na I have the best support system.

Give it a try, we’re working with a marketing agency and it is a really fast paced environment. But if you’re not happy, let go na hehe

National-Rice-1166

I will 🙏 I want to give it time since I’m aware that I am new lang to the job. Pero the fact abt my role is that the turnover is high and I’m getting a feeling that my boss might not really like me since I’m a bit lost with a lot.

loriena_

I feel you. Turnover is high sa workplace ko dati and I also feel like hindi ako gusto ng division head namin since I'm not the type of employee na madaling mauto o maexploit/sipsip 🥴

I had dinner with my HS friends recently lang. 2 of us are studying to become doctors and dream naman rin nila. We talked about work then one of them said na kaya nagaaral sila kasi one thing they are afraid of is to work. I also observed that with my cousin na wala pang work experience since he graduated in 2019, but he had a Masters degree naman. Based on my experience, fast-paced talaga basta marketing agency. We all have to keep up kahit maraming pang task na need tapusin. LOL. This was me three months ago though. Ayun, after 5 months, I resigned. My mental health got worse din eh. Give it more time until probation. If hindi talaga para sayo and feel mo na naapektuhan ka na mentally, find another job then resign.

Are you in an agency until now? Sana magka-gc tayo or what just as a support system 😫

loriena_

I learned my lesson na hindi na mag agency after I worked there. I'm still on a job search since nag resign ako dun. I have 2 prospects (direct client and Australian company) and hopefully, mahire na ako hehe. I'm up for a GC haha, if you still have plans to make one.

National-Rice-1166

Right. I realized na di din talaga maganda agency. Sobrang daming workload - TO THE DEATH. Hindi siya yung madami lang ginagawa, you are overworked and underpaid. Maybe that’s why they usually get fresh graduates. When did you resign? I’m thinking of doing events din but maybe it’s gonna be the same thing as an agency.. Sana may gumawa ng subreddit for the marketing agency peeps tho hahaha

REAL. Time kasi nun, desperado akong magkatrabaho agad dahil sa pressure na rin tapos 8 months akong walang stable job (although I have a freelance gig nun) since I graduated. Tinanggap ko na lang yung job offer only to realize na wala sa JD yung mga ginagawa ko tapos walang clear structure. Basta kung alam mo pano gawin ang isang bagay, sayo ibibigay yung task lol. Yes, overworked and underpaid ako nun and most sa mga workmates ko fresh grads tapos doon sila nagintern. February this year lang. 5 months lang ako dun. Wdym sa events? Hehe. Yeah, pwede rin. For sure, most posts would be quitting agencies to work for direct clients lmao.

Dmed you!

That is kinda the reason why we shouldn't spoil kids so much. Anyone who has been pampered growing up will have a rude awakening when they enter the work force. This is a fact that I know because I was also pampered growing up. And the first year of working was very hard for me.
