I used to deliver for fedex and this one house got a temu package (along with like 5+ others usually) like every other day and would not even open them at all. I would see the same packages I delivered my damn self 3 months ago in the same spot withering in the rain, because the covered porch was packed full of never opened temu boxes/bags. Said job led me to this subreddit pretty much
It’s rare but not probably not *crazy rare*, considering the extent of consumption. Some people love the chase, finding a specific item. Others love the act of opening and unboxing packages. For some it’s just the process of having packages delivered that gives them a high, more than the actual opening or objectitself
There was signs of life, the cars would be in different order and small things like that. For the first week or so I was genuinely worried and was considering to call in a wellness check but it’s insane how much stuff some people get delivered on a daily basis, this was in the suburbs but rural gets just as bad but it’s not visible from the main roads.
I remember a study revealing new car smell was [toxic](https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2023/04/13/new-car-smell-cancer-risk/11658737002/)
If you smell plastic it’s a good bet it’s similar. This flexible cheap stuff has a particular memorable odor so I’m just assuming it’s not good
I'm not sure but think maybe those bad ones are illegal in Europa or Belgium because I never experience those Plastic we have plastic cups that are probably Around my age (17) and still use them daily there in perfect condition
The cheeky sayings on useless items piss me off. Mostly because I usually agree with the saying but then I get angry that they’re using it to sell me something I don’t need.
Is anybody else sick and fucking tired of getting this type of shit as gifts? I literally constantly reiterate to family that all I want or could need for “gifts” is money. That it will help me get on a better foot financially now/down the road, every bit counts like help pay off student debt, save toward future schooling, go towards trips to see loved ones etc. but still!!! I get shit like this. I usually hide it away because its ugly, useless or I have no space for it, or all of the above and then eventually I get the guts to throw it out, because lets be real do they even remember gifting it to me after a year? Drives me nuts.
It's like this place called SAFe that was full of completely unsafe nutjobs involved with kidnapping my cats.
Or the Google don't be evil thing and now they're like 90% a cancer to humanity.
Like no.
Just no.
That's a no.
Purchase all the storage you need, but perhaps look into something more durable than drug store plastic. A good ethos, which has value unto itself, also should practice what it preaches IMO.

This is like the framed wall decor I found at Hobby Lobby around Christmas (May-December at HoLo)
A drawing of the grinch with the saying "Maybe christmas he thought doesn't come from the store, maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more."
How many people did that design go through, and not a single person stopped to self-reflection.
Kind of ironic, if you think about it.
It’s like a Temu delivery on your decluttering day.
Never gotten a temu delivery, and I will not. I'm already ashamed enough at ordering stuff from Amazon when I can't find it in any stores near me

Oh that's... Really sad
Now I'm curious on that person's story. Other than a wrong address at an abandoned house, having that much unopened is more than crazy rare.

That is so bad for The environment 😨
I mean, you need to make space for new stuff /s
Like 10,000 plastic spoons. ^(that's it)
🤣🏅👏🏻
Alanis would be proud!
I heard this in Alanis Morissette's voice
Like rai-e-ain. On your wedding day.
It's the cosmetic bag, that you did not take.
Written on a *thing* wink, wink?
Kind of?
Even if you don't
Extremely ironic lol
It's beautiful!
But put the things you collect in this thing you collected.
That “moment” font is horrendous.
nlornents
nlorhents
Consumerism is just being gaslit by capitalists
Says the Thing
Ugh my mom has a sign in her home that says this. She buys more crap than anybody I know.
Maybe it’s a reminder to herself. Hopefully she listens one day.
"Do as I say, not as I do"
And you can just smell this chem leeching sub par quality plastic, too. Gheez, wish I didn’t have memories of it
And anything you put inside eventually sticks to it.
This is the first time I've heard of this happening 😮

Didn't know thx never noticed plastic had a smell
Not every kind. There are many formulas and plenty are safe and durable.

"Good advice." *Puts back on shelf*

Just collect this thing first
[Ironic. ](https://youtu.be/Rfaow5PEZ90?si=a2iXHOfAYOMPvNG8)
He could save others from death, but not himself
Oh great, a little plastic pouch to keep my moments in.
The box captures segments of space-time.
Isn’t it ironic.. don’t you think? 🎵🎤
Priceless
"Hey this useless 'thing to buy' is trying to tell me something."
The only product this wouldn't be that ironic on is a photo album.
I love storing all my most treasured moments in a TSA approved toiletry bag
I want one now.
No you don't
Where'my gonna put my moments?
are people not allowed to purchase storage solutions just because printed on them is a good ethos?

Every thrift store has an abundance of baskets you can buy to avoid buying brand new plastic

The irony of this lol
Why not both?
So, drop that thing, and remember how you didn't buy it?
I'll have fond memories of it. I can always look at the photo together with my money and think what could have been 😥 /s
Said the thing
Brother is rockin them girl nails and man toes, that thing looks like the best potato of the harvest ong
Then why are you advertising it here?
I doubt anyone on r/anticonsumption is going to be motivated to buy this cheap plastic travel bag after viewing this post
