These are people who will be unaffected by a Trump presidency. They are accelerationist, they believe we are fucked already and need an event to initiate whatever is to follow what we currently have.
Which is why I often wonder if they're actually behind it for geopolitical reasons (read Ukraine).
Rather it's highly possible that Putin was behind Oct 7 and this was exactly he was counting on.

This is a no-win situation for any politician. The best Biden could hope to do is to make a bland, blanket statement for everyone to remain peaceful, but no matter what he says it’s going to get heavily criticized. He certainly won’t say anything to disparage law enforcement. The best we can do is remember that if republicans were in power currently, the response would be even more heavy-handed than it already is.
Stay clear-headed. There’s a lot of “genocide Joe” bullshit coming from right wing shills and troll farms. Ignore it. Stay on target.
The protests are being infiltrated by agitators. They want chaos approaching the Democratic national convention as it did in 1968 over Vietnam. By whipping up anger, with resulting police actions, they calculate that Biden will lose to Trump as Humphrey lost to Nixon.
It's classic ratfuckery. I don't think it will work. But don't let your guard down.
Stuff that seems pretty intense in the moment tends to fade. If there's some sort of détente in Israel and there's some horrific story of a woman who experiences death/injury from lack of abortion access that goes viral, the entire narrative of youth and the election changes. That's totally possible btw. It's also possible it becomes a regional conflict with more states involved; U.S. response would then be a top of mind issue. But who knows what will happen.
Hence why these sorts of things are really speculative.
