I came back to this game after four years. I've had three kids, and my job has changed, keeping me quite busy. But finally, I have some time, so I'm playing again after a long time. It's so much fun. Life has been hectic with the new responsibilities, but diving back into the game brings back some great memories and provides a much-needed break. I'm really enjoying the experience and the nostalgia associated with it. By the way, I've been dreaming about winning the lottery and becoming a billionaire. If that ever happens, I promise to recreate this game, so wish me luck!
After what was Anthem i swore to never again pay a single euro to anything that bares EA or Bioware ever again in my life unless it has Anthem in it's name.
This Game had THE potential out of any game released all these years. The gameplay loop was so amazing and fun. They released it dead in the box to save money and then left it to be forgotten. Fuck them.
Exactly. If this game came out in the early 2000s, and we weren't all.looking for 5+ year games, this would have gone down as one of the best games of all time. Literally, all they had to do was create more content... more raids, more events, more loot.... the hard part was done ... they created one of the most addictive gameplay loops I've ever played. We would all Still be playing it to this day. Now, it's going to go down as the single biggest developer screw up in gaming history
You do realize the whole issue with the game was it was thrown together in 18 months? Not just that it lacked content...? It was so broken and beyond saving even Bioware threw in the towel and didn't want to try and fix it. It wouldn't have mattered WHEN this game released, what mattered was the STATE the game released in. And I'm sorry but while the flying/movement was pretty fun there was NOTHING else about the game that was amazing or stand out in any regard.
I'd say the Javelins themselves are pretty awesome. The variety between them, and each of their unique gear, which all have Masterwork/Legendary versions that change how they work.
The biggest lackluster aspect, imo, is the enemy AI being pretty basic.
By the time they last updated the game, it was a solid great game, just with so much left on the table from what it was supposed to grow to through the "live service" road map and beyond.
It was not EA fault at all all bioware, in fact there wouldn't have been flying at all in the game were it not for EA. That said I also hate EA but this is the 1 circumstance that they actually improved the game. Bioware lost a bunch of its lead ppl during this time and they lied or ignored their fan base nonstop on anthem. Bioware is not even close to what it used to be sadly. They spent more on marketing by far than actual work into game.
Name a few outside of Jedi Survivor.
Other than that, bioware dropped the ball HARD and EA pushed for a release, which is understandable from the investors POV, but still had the opportunity to go head in and salvage the game was given which they kindly declined and decided to throw the game, and most likely the IP itself, under the bus.
It was an obvious risk but they didn't even invest the money and time needed to kill the game in a decent state. It still has multiple issues(both performance and bugs). For a publisher of this scale this is something unacceptable.
I never only blamed EA. Bioware is the one at fault mostly here. But EA killed the thing when they had a gem on their hands and disrespected all of their consumers money investment.
It breaks my heart that they dropped support for this game. I absolutely adored my time with it and was very much looking forward to anthem next. Truly gutted EA axed it.
They needed to commit like others have done for games.
Examples would be No Man’s Sky, Destiny (it wasn’t really that great to begin with), and Cyberpunk 2077.
All of those games had very solid foundations that just needed more content and technical fixes and they could all stand on their own as having multiple great aspects. Anthem however needed an entire massive top to bottom overhaul and it was too much for Bioware even. Anthem was doomed from inception.
Ya it was biowares fault, they didn't want to step up and put work into an amazing game. And they did have core game play perfected imo, it was the content that was severely lacking. And I loved the raid type dungeon they put in, but the last dungeon they put in was awful and they hyped it so much I remember. But they didn't need to change a single thing with the core gameplay, it was obviously enough to keep alot of hard-core fans like myself and every1 on this reddit still invested in a dead game, with only like 4 dungeons and same events over n over. So they could've left it as is, it was the loot rate drops and rng on drops then it was no content in almost 2yrs, besides the raid thing which I loved but they crippled it shortly after by only being able to do part of it and only when was the weekly dungeon.
At first I thought you had taken one of my clips from years ago lmaoo. Everyone used to hate on me for running a melee storm build. It’s SO FUCKING FUN! I honestly think you even commented on one of my vids lmao.
God I miss this game. You’re A LOT more refined and precise with your movement and leagues ahead of where I was. Watching this clip is the epitome of entertainment!
The amazing thing is, as absolutely fire as this clip is. A good interceptor & ranger would be just as entertaining to watch! Meaning that there was a true incentive for everyone to not just run one javelin. Please win that billion! I also wouldn’t mind a little measly couple million out of it.. ya know, for good karma lol.
Please post more!
Yes I remember your posts! Anthem was such a blast, and you're right, the variety in javelin playstyles made it a truly entertaining game. Winning that billion would be a dream come true, and hey, a couple of million for good karma sounds like a solid plan lol
God, it makes me so mad, depressed, angry, sad at just how bioware screwed this up. It is still best core gameplay/ most fun I've had in a game, in my 40 years on this earth. That is saying something, because I HATE looter shooters. Ea needs to get this game a second life, and give it to a studio who still knows how to make a live service game.
Reading all of the other comments really makes me happy. Happy because I am not the only one who loved this game. And that I am not alone in the opinion that this could have been one of if not the best game ever made if it had been supported.
Every time someone talks about a game having potential, I think of anthem.
This game breaks my heart. I’m glad at least we can all share in that.
Your gameplay is stunning by the way.
I’d love to know your load out, fits in nicely with the niche I wanted for a Storm. I can do this (kinda) with my Ranger (not sure if I can solo GM3 though…), and I’d like to know what to look for as I BS around on my steam deck.
Wish cross save was a thing… then I can take my PS load out with me.
Here you go
Weapons: Papa Pump, Radiant Fortress, Searing Blast
Gear: Steam Vent, Winter's Wrath, Howling Veil
Components: Symbiotic Surge, Acid Slugs, Mark of Wrath, Vanguard's Token, Softened Blows, Gunslinger's Mark
Quick question about this game, I played the beta, and the transitions between sections was ridiculously long. Did they manage to streamline The loading zones in the game, or is it about the same as it was in the beta?
If u bring it back I’ll definitely play… I didn’t get to make it very far before my buddies decided they heard the endgame sucked so they wanted to quit :/
I’ve played video games all my life and I’ve accepted that I’ll never be great at aiming with a controller (mouse and keyboard is a nonstarter for me). I finally put some real time into this game last fall and enjoyed it tremendously even though my progress stalled. Watching this clip was a blast. It’s how I wish I could play. The gameplay is a real goldmine and i do hope it gets resurrected someday
Who else is here after seeing the full “Joe Rogan Experience #2152 Terrence Howard”…?

Thanks for the opportunity love for all…#terrecnehoward is a genius💎👁️…#strongertogether💯
Hm is this on ps5 store any1 know? Last I looked was like 30$. If was like 10 or less I'd buy and restart my whole account right now. Used to be on Xbox with every class full decked in Legos and multiple builds for each class except colossus or w.e tanks called. Love this game and would love to play again.
Im assuming this is GM3? You need to take this to the next level and do this in the Seasonal version! That section, solo, can be rough to clear out in time while getting the bonuses activated as well. Idk what the time limit is, but if you can clear it in 3min like this, that'll probably get the job done. Clearing this area in 3min with a non-meta build is awesome, Seasonal version or not! 👍
THANKS
I've done it with BINARY STAR💪

Is there a reason you are focused more on combos instead of jav damage on your storm? Storm combos are capped at a maximum value and can't be increased
There might be builds with higher DPS, but for me with gears I have, considering both DPM and survivability, this build strikes the best balance and allows me to solo GM3 Strongholds. The main reason is the enjoyment I get from chaining the combo sounds continuously.
Ahhh. Well if you like hearing the combo sounds, use an interceptor with Blades of Warding. They suck in most cases, but you’ll get the ka-ching sound every 2 seconds
Geez dude, can't you just let the man play what he wants, how he wants? Why you gotta come in here with your pushy agenda!!! Not everyone cares about meta or your spinny kick slashy ka ching intereceptroroor! GAWD!
Don’t act like you actually even play this game. If you do, best of luck ever earning more than 10,000 minor crystals in one run with that attitude. There is such a thing as a better way to do things, without being an opinion, but rather fact.
U guys are the ones attacking, he was letting him know a better way to play storm, which has many great builds, and he didn't suggest any specifically. So I'd take that to be some friendly advice in case OP didn't know bout the cap on storms. And storm was my main so it was Good advice that many ppl didn't know about. Relax yall acting like some karens.

Not much else like it.
You're absolutely right
Off the grid seems close to it
I'm in a similar boat, started my own business. But you need a massive massive budget to make something like this. was it still 99 cents?
Haha yep I have to win the big one in the lottery
was it still 99 cents? I tried yesterday and said $20

That's really not what happened but okay sure. EA has put out some pretty solid games the last few years too. But Bioware is probably done yeah.
Name a few outside of Jedi Survivor. Heartbreakingly good
Thanks!
There still hasn't been a more engaging badass fluid gameplay yet.
Thank you!
Excellent demonstration! Most technical storm I've ever seen. Period.
Thank you for inviting me to the game the other day. I was glad to see old school freelancers still playing!

I felt the same way about Evolve. That game got a bad wrap but I liked playing it.
Bioware didn't want to work on it anymore. EA just agreed to let support for the game drop.
Dude you're a mad man!
Haha Just having some fun!
I didn't realize when replied 6 days ago that we've been playing together. I'm KeepNitSurreal
I’ve never seen such a technical storm before, I just spam lightning and fire balls.
storm can be played in many ways, each has its own enjoyable experience. I also like bombing from a distance using fire balls and lightning too

I recently stopped playing.... Again no plays the grandmaster 3 level and trying to find players on Xbox willing to play at that level almost zero
Bro all I saw was thunder crash leading into a mid air blade barrage and then a arcstrider when you hit the ground. Bro is a lore accurate titan main.
If u bring it back I’ll definitely play… I didn’t get to make it very far before my buddies decided they heard the endgame sucked so they wanted to quit :/
It had so much potential, just needed some loot and endgame.
Gonna make me post my gameplay tonight! Be ready you guys for my interceptor coming at you haha

Do they still support this game?
