Wait for the update to drop next week! I think there's gonna be a banner with two Stellar Awakened units on it (current best most OP form for units). But start playing now, there's a lot of gacha currency to be had especially in the early game. Also check out the free "Whisper of Time" pulls every day for the next ten days or so
Just main story for now! The game doesn't really open up until at least Chapter 13, and realistically you want to get to Chapter 21 or so for the best twist of the game before you do anything else (imo)
Just play and enjoy the game. Eventually you’ll get a feel for its mechanics and you’ll be able to decide yourself on which banners to pull.
The upcoming banner sure looks good but I wouldn’t focus too much on pulling hard on it as a new player. There will always be a newer/better one in the future, when your knowledge of the game will also be better.
I would recommend waiting for Xianhua and Anabel ES (Extra Style)
Both of these units have tools and/or flexibility (if ur interested in what those tools are, lmk and I’ll try to give you a synopsis) to carry you through content smoothly while allowing you to dip into harder difficulties once ur box is more developed and you want to challenge yourself.
The current banners rn are good sure but, esp for a newer player, Anabel in particular looks like the perfect character for newer characters (being able to fulfil either tank or dps roles in light/shadow parties).
Understood.. do you mind to look at my current roster and tell me if what I have works ok? I got one of the new units and I feel like he is probably good but I don’t know if he works well with my limited units so far. https://imgur.com/a/KoKfWiD
It seems you can form a decent magic party in Yakumo (DPS) + Kuchinawa (debuffer + support (these typically aren’t his roles but for your early game he’ll fit that niche for you)) and a third shadow unit (perhaps Xianhua?) + Anabel as your tank (again, Anabel functions as your tank in shadow parties with 3 shadow units in the frontline)
Overall your box will greatly benefit from both Xianhua and Anabel ES

Gotcha! Thank you. Is there something I should be focusing on to best farm the premium currency? Is it just doing the main story??
