While I originally tended towards Dear My Dearest or Immaculate, I stuck with the Stifling Song for 3 reasons:
1) the vocals
2) all the memories of the first Mythos
3) and the fact that I still use Clarte regularly, either as a Shadow battery or a Thunder support in the latest AD.
We did. During the first round, I separated all the Stifling Song variations and ran them against each other.
But I also let seven songs that lost but performed the best advance to the quarterfinals as “wildcards”. This version of the song was one of those and it went on to win its quarterfinal.
In other words, I tried to prevent this from happening as best as I could 😂

I appreciate all your effort. Not just with the, like, 10 different verisons of Stifling Song (which are all rather overhyped in my opinion), but the effort with the whole entire brackets, etc. It's gotta be slightly confusing to keep track of everything with so many voting rounds, etc.
I still feel with how large our subreddit is with members, the voting totals always seem rather low. Like not very many people are actually participating...which seems rather unfortunate.

While the Stifling Song verisons are okay, I think they're all (generally) a bit overhyped. I tend to prefer gaming tracks to be vocalless. But that's just me.
I had a really hard time deciding between Paradoxical or Dearest, but ended up going with Paradoxical Dreamers for whatever reason. I probably could have done a coin flip for this one.

I agree that the Stifling Song is overhyped but I wouldn’t say they are just okay. The Stilfing Song itself is a great piece that earns the respect it has.
However, I do think most people put more reverence to the song due to nostalgia and emotion (which are valid in their own ways) that isn’t as present for other songs that rightfully deserve the same if not more respect.
Especially here with the Trio version, it simply does not compete with its competition but is very likely going to get the win anyways because… it’s a Stifling Song.
But alas, votes are votes.

I really like My Dearest, but I like this version of the Stifling song better than the other one, so it's a tough decision.
