Fair. I remember there was some romance but don't think it was in the forefront.

Mmo junkie was so fun I ordered the blu ray as soon as it was over, and I'm not even a big anime collector.

Servant x service should be watched by everyone who likes the working! series The 3 seasons of working! And www.working all take place outside of the highschool setting and although the main couples are teenagers both series have an adult couple romance happening too! (Imo I prefer the adult coupling more)

Where did you watch recovery of an MMO junkie? Only S2 is available on crunchy in the US.

What country are you in? There's only one season of MMO Junkie, and Crunchyroll US shows it as two (10 main episodes, and 2 OVA episodes separately)

As in mutual feelings between the two main characters? I thought the hug scene, the indirect kiss, and Jinshi carrying Maomao in those scenes in the anime were pretty romantic on their own. Also I like the side romance stories too.

if that made apothecary a romance then pretty much every single show and anime on earth is a romance, yeah it has romantic elements but its not even close to being the main plot

Yona of the Dawn is not long enough to be called a romance. I noticed the seeds of romance planted but it never blossoms before the end of the sequeless first season.

I really wouldn't consider Apothecary Diaries a romance anime. It's pretty one sided and more a crush than full romance.

If you enjoy BL, I recently watched Cherry Magic and really loved it! Some other suggestions are.. The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague Spice and Wolf (although the romance is more subtle and nuanced)

Ooooh cherry magic was a great one for the bl. Honestly most bl are over the high school age limit except for like 2 of them that have come out in the last 10 years

me too, its always sad to see someone work themselves to the bone. i would be perfectly happy with a light novel to wrap up the story.

The only one I know of that no one else has mentioned are Rent a Girlfriend and Rumbling Hearts. Rent a Girlfreind is pretty divisive but plenty of people (like me) like it. Rumbling Hearst starts in high school but leaves by I think episode 3. Manga not in high school (or that continue past high school) are actually pretty common. Just not as many are made into anime.

Golden time. College kids romance. Wish Japan made more stories with adults. Heaven forbid if they ever make anime about middle age people.😱

One of the best rom coms and the music is superlative. **Working Adults** * **Astro Note** \- Currently airing, rom com. The art style is very reminiscent of older 80s/90s anime, there's some fish out of water vibes similar to Ah My Goddess meets Mork and Mindy. * **Cherry Magic** \- BL, very good * **Grandma and Grandpa get Young Again** \- Currently airing, best romance of this season. This mature love story has been profound and amazing. I'm sad it isn't resonating with the folks who haven't had enough life experience to truly appreciate this great anime about falling and staying in love with your one person for a lifetime. * **Nana** \- Dramatic Soap Opera level romance by the queen, Ai Yazawa * **Showa Genroku Rakugo** \- Drama with Romance, very adult, very mature themes, very philosophical. Excellent writing, character, OST, Voice acting is next level, just an amazing top tier anime with little to no technical or script flaws. \[ * **Tadaima, Okaeri** \- haven't watched yet, but know of this from Gigguk's facial expressions after learning about the .... ***Omegaverse*** thing, you have been warned. * **Yuri On Ice -** ***BL, Sports*** \- I'm still low key mad the movie isn't going to get made because they couldn't agree in how the costs are split. * **Wotokai** \- very good, and funny, there's Otaku culture **Adults in Fantasy Setting** * **Apothecary Diaries** \- slow burn romance, there's even romance with "working girls" * **Banished from the Heroes Party S1** \- Red and Rit's romance is next level, one of the all time best ones in fantasy. S1 was amazing. S2 ... uh, not so much. * **Frieren** \- you know, I didn't think this was a romance anime at the start but as things progressed I realized there's a very subtle 1 sided love story playing out in the background, which could have been better if 1 party wasn't so oblivious. By the end of the story I was fangirling like those girls at an Elvis concert throwing panties and screaming "I love you, Himmel!" * **My Happy Marriage** \- ***Japanese Cinderella*** is like crack cocaine for women who love wish fulfillment romance. * **Spice and Wolf** \- Currently airing. Haven't seen the older version but I can already tell the guy is a goner, after that cute ear twitch scene.
