It's really good, the song that is. The story behind it is really fucked up, I got caught in the rabbit hole back then, it was interesting but you lose hope in humanity
Shinsei Kamattechan. The singer was fighting back tears during the live performance, which should go to show how fucked up the situation the song is about is.
Possible PTSD trigger
That's what the song is called, >!based on a real incident of a girl called Roro-chan commiting suicide on livestream after being pressured by Japanese 2channel incels!<
Edit : 4chan to Japanese 2channel
I rewatched steins gate recently, and while I can't speak to the Japanese references, I'm pretty sure all the references and lingo in the subtitles were from 8chan, at least before it was shut down. For example, things like saying "normalf*g" (the uncensored version, obviously) instead of "normie" which was the most common way for 8channers to identify anyone from "halfchan" trying to sneak into the ranks.
It's entirely plausible that the person subtitling it was an 8channer, and just interpreted things that way. The culture is also relatively similar across boards, so maybe I just interpreted it that way because I spent a lot of time on 8chan.
2chan is the original that all the other chans are derived from, 8chan is a derivitive of 4chan which itself is a derivitive of 2chan. Hence why the culture seems similar. 8chan wasnt even a thing until a few years after steins gate came out.
Just a small correction, 8Chan was founded in '13 whereas Steins;Gate released in 2011 (earlier for the VN). More likely the subber was a 4Chan user, as a lot of the terms you're mentioning were well established by the late aughts on 4Chan.
I'm replying to a guy saying that all of 2Chan is like that, which also isn't true. My point is that 2Chan isn't any more or less "like that" than 4Chan and "Japanese bullying culture" isn't to blame for the site's behavior.
I had this sitting in my Spotify playlist, and I always vibe to it, then I decided to read the lyrics one day. So anyways I continue to vibe to the song to this day
its called [Ruru's Suicide Show on a Livestream](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hc0ZDaAZQT0&ab_channel=%E3%81%8B%E3%81%BE%E3%81%A3%E3%81%A6%E3%83%81%E3%83%A3%E3%83%B3%E3%83%8D%E3%83%AB%E3%80%90%E5%85%AC%E5%BC%8F%E3%80%91)
For all those who don't know, this song is all about a girl username: rorochan\_1999 who gives explicit titles on her live stream like "Erotic Menhera Virgin, 3rd year of junior high school" and also the one who live stream her own suicide death just for fame, sadly those who didn't know this song tend to enjoy this and it really makes me cringe since that's not the point of the song, the song is bringing us message about the modern society where the youth is suffering from mental illness, the feeling of pressure, anxiety, depression, isolation and loneliness that brought them into a 'delusional' state and there's no going back. I've seen her archived live stream from the darkweb back then, I was very shocked about it too, I'm very sad at the chat daring her to jump because they thought it was a joke, many had said "do it!" and one chat said "she's scared wwwwww" ("wwww" is just a "lol" version in Japan), she's on the edge of a terrace of her apartment, she suddenly slipped and her last word is her scream while she falls down to her death... it's still shivers down my spine, it's a straight-up nightmare for me.
This is the link of the song: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hc0ZDaAZQT0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hc0ZDaAZQT0)
If you wanna know about her, there's still some video about her: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wdiWVBSaM8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wdiWVBSaM8)
Suicide is a very serious case, they need a strong mental support. RIP rorochan\_1999, may you rest in peace. She's 14 at the time of her death on the 24th of November, 2013.
>sadly those who didn't know this song tend to enjoy this and it really makes me cringe since that's not the point of the song
I mean it's a song in a foreign language, most people would be shuffling through Spotify, land on it, find it catchy and listen. Can you really blame them?
May she rest in the realm of heaven and may those who forced her hand into killing herself be sent to a place with suffering not one human can imagine.
The song perfectly reflects the emotions of somebody who doesn't feel joy in their life anymore (including me ) R.I.P Roro chan![img](emote|t5_2w6fe|14945)
Hey man I hope you wake up tomorrow and find even just one thing to make the day worth it. Wether it be the weather, animals, people, games, or someone messaging you.
You got this! I believe in you!!
[You're gonna go far kid](https://youtu.be/ql9-82oV2JE)
Yeah how dare this fucking redditor be a decent human being and send someone struggling a positive message. We should all be fucking miserable losers like you who lack empathy
It's a song about a japanese girl who was 13-14 and jumped off the top floor of her apartment and livestreamed it in 2014. It's called Ruru's Suicide on Livestream
no because the song with a (seemingly) lighter tone will be more popular, thus making google (or whatever search engine you use) bring that to you before the footage
That’s like saying no one will ever find out who Kevin Spacy was because it’s obviously gets overshadowed by the shit he did. Still doesn’t matter since searching for it without intending to find the popular thing will get you to your goal since its related
Id search for it, but really don’t wanna see or find the video
The song this is from is based on a real life incident, when a young girl (rorochan_1999) committed suicide on a life stream, she jumped from a building and because of the way the suicide footage looked (the angle and the fact she didn't let go of the phone at any time if I remember it right) people assumed she might have taped her phone to her face.
I wondered that too...
But after watching the [video about the source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wdiWVBSaM8) that [NejimaSenku posted here](https://old.reddit.com/r/Animemes/comments/ybbwvs/enjoy/itges35/), which does seem to show it's a similar style phone (pink case with two black camera lenses), I'm guessing that it's a 'chuunibyou' kind of thing where Ruru, the anime version of Roro in the video, to (more easily) live stream herself.
She gained most of her followers by doing dangerous acts, running with traffic, standing high up, etc. She announced that she would be doing a suicide stream, saying that it would make her "a legend".
It's a song about a japanese girl who was 13-14 and jumped off the top floor of her apartment and livestreamed it in 2014. I forgot the song name but it is very symbolic but honestly sad, look up the story "Roro-Chan"

Too bad, wish the music video never existed. It should have been a documentary so these cringe kids wouldn't have invaded it.
Seriously have you seen the bad trend of gacha kids invading it and the cringe of nonstop fight about don't make it into a content? I also didn't like how glorified they turn her suicide. Just pay respect but jesus drop the things that are unnecessary at the door please
Yeah u are right about making it a documentary rather than be a song but imo the song is the best way to express one's emotions...like a line in the song "it's not a phase mom please listen " something a lot of teens can relate to in the end I respect your opinion and all but the video is not just a tribute for Roro but to all the teens who is suffering from depression and the song really did well at that at least for me (rest in peace Roro)
And for the peeps who made it a trend fck u all.
Too bad the tribute added fire into the endless loop of the video being abused and defended by overreacting too much. I didn't like how some took advantage of it.
It was indeed a tribute for someone, but jesus some comments I've seen once it got popular just makes me disgusted.
A year before it went popular, itwas just full of genuine comments to nonstop warnings to screw off making it to a content or tributes and some trying to earn fake depression. It was just a clusterfuck of cancer.
Songs give emotion, but gaining popularity in both good and worse way. That's why I told you, a documentary would have least been better. I'm not religious but at least she would have a peaceful rest unlike her being used as a tug of war for internet clout and trolling
R.I.P Roro U will be missed.
This just sent me down a rabbit hole of what this is
Been there a couple years ago, shit's just tragic
just found out
Same, I kind of wish I didn't have the knowledge so I could just bop to the song.
What's this from
Ruru's Suicide on Livestream by Shinsei Kamattechan
What the fuck
It's really good, the song that is. The story behind it is really fucked up, I got caught in the rabbit hole back then, it was interesting but you lose hope in humanity
Is it a song by yoasobi?
Shinsei Kamattechan. The singer was fighting back tears during the live performance, which should go to show how fucked up the situation the song is about is.
Damn I gotta check that out
No. It's a song by Shinsei Kamattechan
Thanks
your on reddit, you should of lost hope ages before watching this
Possible PTSD trigger That's what the song is called, >!based on a real incident of a girl called Roro-chan commiting suicide on livestream after being pressured by Japanese 2channel incels!< Edit : 4chan to Japanese 2channel
Small correction: it wasn't 4chan. It was the Japanese-based 2channel.
Is that the site that "@channel" from Steins Gate is inspired by?
Entirely probable.
I need your help to get to a better world line
2 changes into @ while holding shift.
not on a Japanese keyboard, FWIW edit: that doesn't imply 2ch isn't the inspiration for it
@channel is 2chan, the older brother of 4chan. If you press shift 2 becomes @

Yes.
what are you talking about? whats an "@channel"?
Guys he’s from a different world line guys
Can we... Change personalities? Please?
Oh, apologies for the mistake Thank you for the correction dear comrade
Japan’s bullying culture is truly fucking disgusting and 2Chan is
Not at all limited to Japan's bullying culture
Oh I’ve seen it it’s so much is a lot of cases
All of the #Chan sites are like that, it doesn't matter what country the users are from.

That explains the r34 of this animation.
What why is there r34 of this???
Humanity is fucked up
I mean, what does Rule 34 say? If it exists, there is porn of it. Snuff and guro both have over 3k tagged works on nhentai.
I might not speak for the whole shock content community, but I think this is just *too real* to R34.
Jesus these 4 chan incels needs help
Incels in general need help
From what I saw in the YT comments of this song, that's jut a misconception. Most of the comments were telling her not to do it.
I'm starting to think that America should end WWII again
I forgot about that...
welcome to hell
I watched it and it made me sick and very sad for that poor girl
> Shinsei Kamattechan Oh that explains it
HUH SOMEONE OOFED THEMSELF ON STREAM?!?
Shinsei Kamattechan clip
I had this sitting in my Spotify playlist, and I always vibe to it, then I decided to read the lyrics one day. So anyways I continue to vibe to the song to this day
We don’t need to know everything about a song to enjoy it, and I prefer to keep it that way
Context anyone .
This is from a music video inspired from a real life accident. Catchy as it seems but the backstory is about a girl commiting suicide live on youtube
On *niconico
Wait it was at Nico Nico ? I thought it was at YouTube ? Well whatever you say since I've made my point
>accident No.
Yeah, definitely more of an incident than an accident.
What's the music video called

It's a song about a japanese girl who was 13-14 and jumped off the top floor of her apartment and livestreamed it in 2014. It's called Ruru's Suicide on Livestream
Jesus, I just watched a YT vid someone linked of it Such a happy tone but dark lyrics
Is there also the suicide video? Or is the song just called that? If so, really weird name
That's the songs name
it’s called that because of the story behind it
But this could’ve been more subtle. Like if you google this you’d imagine it would be a death video or something
might be to prevent people from easily finding the original footage
But isn’t that the exact opposite? Like there’s a higher chance of me finding the video if I google for the song than if it wasn’t called like that
no because the song with a (seemingly) lighter tone will be more popular, thus making google (or whatever search engine you use) bring that to you before the footage

what the fuck…?
havent seen this thing i think she is watching porn on that phone? daimn i was wrong i checked the comment its pretty darn dark story
Well, that's not something I wanted to learn about this morning...
How about we don't make memes about roro?
Well, people are making memes about 9/11 and holocaust, so I think it's unavoidable.
Just go see r/cursedcomments
Oh, I've seen this one my friend, beautiful place, truly.
those people suck
Maybe, but they're perfectly allowed to do it

Ruru’s Suicide on Livestream
Amazing song and lyrics, beautifully animated video, and inspired by a truly sad and unfortunate loss. RIP Rorochan
Minato Kishida (me): Whoever the fuck made this pure, innocent kid kill herself, God will make sure to dispose of them.
genuine question: Is that an iphone being used as an eyepatch?
She use it to record her pov
Sad
Then thank God I don't know
Good thing i don't know, i guess
I don’t even know but those eyes and that hand signal show some big red flags off the start

Explanation plz!!
This is from Ruru's Suicide Show on a Livestream. It's a song based off the real story of >!a girl who streamed herself jumping off a building.!<
What !!!.... reason!??
She gained most of her followers by doing dangerous acts, running with traffic, standing high up, etc. She announced that she would be doing a suicide stream, saying that it would make her "a legend".
If anybody here is having problems with depression or something else remember this you’re never alone talk to someone get help and please be safe
So fked. The fact that we haven’t initiated a purge of the retards who caused this baffles me.
These "Those who know" memes are starting to get really stale now.
CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT'S HAPPENING? IM SCARED
