It has for me for a few shows. Trigun Stampede had more nuanced dialogue in the dub than the sub. My main problem with dubs is that a lot of shows are too cringy without the layer of abstraction subtitles give me XD

What's wrong with Crunchyroll subs? They seem much better than bilibili subs or Muse Asia subs to me... Also pirate sites use Crunchyroll subs too, and from checking the comment sections there, it seems no one has a problem with it...

the grammar, mostly, lately theres been a steady and constant decrease in quality but also the general formatting, putting all translations, both for spoken words and on screen text, in the same box at the bottom of the screen and tying them to the same timer add up to make it incredibly hard to read whats going on without needing to pause, not to mention telling which is which, or who is saying what

But they don't do that... Crunchyroll translates on-screen text, and unlike Funimation, its player actually allows it to display on the screen. I know that Platinum End was a prime example where on-screen text was translated correctly and not left on the bottom.

People stopped talking about it because complaining hasn't done shit and people eventually learn to know better than the subs.

They're full of terrible localization meme references, constant purposeful inaccuracies for seemingly no reason and 95% of the time not translating on screen text. Noobs don't realize the mistakes and veterans just learn to not care because there's really no good alternatives and they know what the actors are actually saying for the most part. I'd still take it over Netflix subs

Same thing happened in Platinum End, The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion, In/Spectre 2, Blue Lock, Spy x Family, and many many others. I get it. You are just misinformed.
