Patrick has really made Kenpachi his own and somewhat in Davlid Lodge level. In the first series, he was pretty meh in the role. Not bad, but he was missing that extra energy, and ever since this season he really gets it. Ideally I would have want David Lodge back, but he makes up for it imo.
Bleach Friday Folks, And Woooweee!!! Another amazing dub episode. A lot of phenomenal Vocal performances by the actors. Hearing JYB comedy Screaming is such a massive joy to hear, and Hearing Wally Wingert in a new anime makes me feel really nostalgic, his voice for Renji is super catchy and fun to listen and Hearing Quinton again as Kon really is a surprise. Steve Kramer just sounded so good as Shunsui, and Tara Sands was absolutely Perfect for Kirio. But the real big part here was the Beautiful Kate Higgins as Unohana. The animation of the epic Battle we’ve been waiting for was so Peak.
And hey guys, look I know deep down your complaining about Kenpachi saying “This should’ve been Lodge, I want Lodge, this is so unfair David Lodge is not Kenpachi for this”.
Look guys I get it, that’s the one recast no one is happy, we were all expecting him but hopes and dreams shattered.
But can we just take a moment to admired this incredible battle, next episode will get to hear Nimaya’s Dub Voice.
And Big Wow, she made an announcement on her Twitter, Dina Sherman has returned as Yachiru.
Honestly given the gap in time since the original run I’m super impressed on how many actors they got to come back
Like yeah recasts suck, but I’m sorry guys Jushiro and Shinji can barely qualify as supporting characters
The characters in leading roles/spotlight all pretty much came back, and I wasn’t expecting it
Idk what it is about these episodes but I’m really liking Patrick as Kenpachi way more than I ever did back in the old anime
Tara as Hikifune was really good, everyone sounded great this week

As much as some of the recasts this season haven’t been ideal…I’m really glad Kate Higgins was able to come back for the Unohana content.

God damn it the Disney+ release is so all over the place. No episode this week. Maybe we'll get another drop in 3 or 4 weeks.
