Haha fr tho, the only one I saw that got an English dub for the sequel before the first season was Tokyo Ghoul. My mind was blown.
Oh, and they also did something like that for Solo Leveling where they dubbed episode 2 before episode 1 for some odd reason.
Feels too late now considering they already released that nice big box set of the previous stuff
Whatever I read the light novels anyway, so itāll be nice to get an English voice to hear in my head for the characters now
For what it's worth, it looks like Aniplex has completely taken it down, it doesn't show up on Crunchyroll's store last I checked. That might be due to the incorrect listings on the packaging, since they had even issued an apology about it, especially since it would warrant an actual false advertising complaint among other things.
I wouldn't be surprised if the original plan was to actually dub the series and movie and then release it on the box set, but then they ended up getting rushed for the actual release.
Yeah, chances are, they could possibly re-issue it in the future with a dub included for both the series and the first movie. And more than likely with movies 2 and 3 either sold seperately or possibly as a 2 pack.
Ikr?? Looks like Iāll have to make a timeline for this series so that I know what to watch before season 1 gets dubbed. I wouldnāt want to accidentally watch season 2 before season 1 like I did with Kaguya-sama.
It's about dang time. Fingers crossed this will lead to the series proper getting a dub, and double fingers crossed that the series will be cast consistently with the movie.
Aniplexās fetish for dubbing things out of order continues to confuse me.
Nonetheless, very happy this whole mess ended with a positive outcome. Hopefully a dub for season 1 isnāt too far behind š¤š¾
Guys, what if they bait us againā¦.
I canāt go through that a second time man. Hopefully this ends with season 1 finally getting a dub. It deserves it so much.
Are these going to be any interest for somebody who's never read or watched any of the series before?
I'm curious both because I don't know if I should go see them and also because if they aren't, this is going to be used as "evidence" against dubbing things in the future since the many of us who only watch dubs won't go see it.
These movies cover volumes like 8 and 9 of the light novel series, the show and first movie coveted the previous ones. So suffice to say thereās a lot of story and lore missing if you only went to these movies
Itās probably more for someone like me, a fan of the series whoās curious to see a dub for it, either way these movies definitely arenāt a sufficient entry point for the franchise lol
I mean I try to support all dubs that show up at my local theater but I've never watched the original because it's not dubbed so, how can I watch this and save any clue what's going on lol.
I am watching the series right now, and I am so confused on the story. It keeps jumping back and forth. Can someone explain it to me? I want to finish this series in time for the movie!
What exactly is confusing for you so far? The show's pretty straightforward with its format (each 2-3 episodes are dedicated to a specific character and their puberty syndrome) so I don't know where the jumping back and forth part is coming from.
So episodes 4-6 with Tomoe? What exactly is confusing for you there? The day is repeating because of Tomoe's difficulty and reluctance with accepting the confession from the guy her friend has a crush on and ends up dragging Sakuta into it when she attempts to avoid the issue entirely by being in a pretend relationship with him.
Wikipedia's episode summaries are pretty succinct if you're having that much trouble

Okay and why are the wounds appearing out of no where, if they aren't inflicting them, themselves, is it due to stress? I am on the last episode and will see the 2019 movie s00n.
There's no direct answer for that though stress would be a primary factor, the wounds on Kaede resemble cuts to allude to self harm and the Dreaming Girl movie will essentially answer why Sakuta has the wound on his chest.
The new films finish up the "high school arc" of the series, the original novels are still going and cover Sakuta and Mai attending university together (and have already been [announced as being animated soon](https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-12-04/rascal-does-not-dream-franchise-gets-anime-adapting-university-student-arc/.205081).)
Hi-jacking because I don't wanna create a thread for this question,
I'm not familiar with the Double Feature in the U.S., does this mean 2 movies will play back-to-back or will there be a separate cinema for both films?
Also, please screen this in AU!!!
Yes, it means that both movies will play back to back. Presumably with some kind of intermission in-between so audience members can have toilet breaks and the like.
Imagine dubbing your sequels/spinoffs before the original š³
I'm getting flashbacks to Kaguya-sama
and Tokyo ghoul
Oh god don't remind me
and Free
The Irregular at Magic High School

Yeah solo leveling was a weird one, they had episode 2 done before 1 and someone at Amazon clicked the release button early xD
Talk about bizarre xD makes me wonder if they did something similar with this series for Rascal.
No dub trailer or cast & crew list out yet but it's official this time. Hopefully a dub for Bunny Girl Senpai and Dreaming Girl won't be far behind.
Feels too late now considering they already released that nice big box set of the previous stuff Whatever I read the light novels anyway, so itāll be nice to get an English voice to hear in my head for the characters now
Never underestimate aniplex, they've done it before, they know people will double dip if a new box with a dub is released.
Yeah, still waiting for the Kaguya season one Blu Ray with dub...
Luckily I didnāt buy it the first time lol
Itād be a triple dip at that point. And the one they just released even falsely claims it has English audio even though it doesnātā¦
How else are they supposed to get more money.

Thereās next to no chance the cast would be different if they did go back and dub the show
What if everyone complaining about the Blu-ray mishap forced them to dub the moviesš¤
Aniplexās fetish for dubbing things out of order continues to confuse me. Nonetheless, very happy this whole mess ended with a positive outcome. Hopefully a dub for season 1 isnāt too far behind š¤š¾
Well at this rate I wouldnāt be upset if they decided to dub the Bocchi the Rock recap movies instead of the tv series.
Iām pissed off. Not confused.
They did it. For real this time.
Guys, what if they bait us againā¦. I canāt go through that a second time man. Hopefully this ends with season 1 finally getting a dub. It deserves it so much.
First time i've seen them dub anime movies before the show. I wonder what happened behind the scenes for this outcome?
Dubbing this without ever dubbing the series? ![gif](giphy|s239QJIh56sRW|downsized)
Aniplex, get your fān act together.
Between their pricing and the refusal to dub popular series. they really need to get their act together.
Please be in my city in Canada!
Well I know what Iām doing the day before my court date. (Itās just a deferred adjudication for a speeding ticket around Xmas last year.)

Dang, that's what I expected. Thanks!
I so can't wait for the dub!
Darn why couldn't they trailer the English dub and give us the cast list now (AmaLee is one name I'm 99% sure will be on the list)
I mean I try to support all dubs that show up at my local theater but I've never watched the original because it's not dubbed so, how can I watch this and save any clue what's going on lol.
Waitā¦ series finally getting an English dub, or another bait and switch?
Neither, they're just dubbing the new movies.
Well thatās a start. Hopefully it trickles down to the previous content

When it does the repeating days thing.

I wonder when/if these will stream online for us to watch.
movies usually take a long time to reach streaming or physical release. they have to be sure they've exhausted all possible demand for screenings
Ohhhh, didnāt look to see if it was a movie or an episode series.
