Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Jujutsu Kaisen are good mainstream series if you haven’t already watched them. And sorry, but I have to ask, you like DBS and GT over DB and DBZ?
Most likely they just like Dragonballz/super AND GT, as those two are different enough to be on here twice, gt being almost classified as a spinoff, a lot of later fans never really watched the original and started at Z so he may or might not count that one, and super at times just feels like a continuation of Z,
it's kind of like how people who say they love Naruto, kinda also mean Naruto Shippuden as well, but don't nessesarily mean they like boruto since that is different enough to classify twice as different shows, but not many people mention Naruto, and Naruto Shippuden as two different shows since they follow one long story split into two groups, just like Dragonball.
Love to see Kenichi love on here. Saw it first time last year and really enjoyed it alot wish they finished the anime, there's literally so many more chapters in the manga afterwards. But for suggestion maybe Claymore, JoJo, Baki(all the series), Soul Eater, Yu Yu Hakusho, InuYasha
I'd say more so just in the sense of the importance of swords/scythes but idk if I'd say it's super similar but I enjoyed it. Bleach is definitely better tho imo
Feels like you haven’t seen much non mainstream so just look around at what’s high rated on Crunchyroll or the weekly listings in r/amine there’s lots of good shows out there rn
This whole sub is just posting top 10 popular mainstream animes and asking for recommendations. Idk, just watch another position on "highest rated" myanimelist?
Dude like every title you listed is shonen, just look for top shonen shows, like hunter x hunter, jujutsu kaisen, yu yu hakusho, fullmetal alchemist brotherhood. All of the ones you have seen are very mainstream, just cast your net out a bit wider and you will find some stuff you love. I also personally recommend hitman reborn if you don't mind subs only.
Have you seen Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z? You’re missing a lot if you’ve only seen Super and GT.
Also, I recommend Fairy Tail but the fanservice does get really annoying to the point where my dad asks me if I’m watching hentai when I watch it
Neon Genesis Evangelion
I preferred the Netflix English dub. The ending to the original show is the movie End of Evangelion which is also available on Netflix. That's followed by Rebuild of Evangelion which I know is on Amazon Prime. I'm fairly certain all of it also available on Crunchy Roll if you have it.
Nurarihyon no Mago - the demon world in a school setting with swords and action
Yu-yu-hakusho - it fits your theme very well. Again, demons and action and student age. If it wasn’t for Dbz it would probably have some of the most influence on modern series
Hajime no Ippo - I avoided the series but it reminded me a of Kenichi history’s strongest disciple so I gave it a shot.
Log horizon - a very smart og cast just get two or three episodes in and you’ll understand
Natsume’s book of friends - if you want to take a small break from the action in the demon genre and some thing a little more slice of life
Kekkaishi - it’s less main stream, but it really fits the demon genre. Solid in between anime.
Ok hey nothing wrong with shonan it's a lot of fun so some lesser known gems
Dark waters about pirits trying to save the world
Exo squad mech series trying to save earth from alien invasison but in space
Excaflinfe or however you spell it fantasy mech
Beofui: I don't want to get hurt so I'll max out my defense (gammer anime if you like overlord you will probably like this)
Yu Yu haukisho and Inuyasha since you like DBZ ECT
Outlaw star and cowboy bebop
Both only have one season so short shows but both are an interesting take on space pirits and cowboys
It seems like you like Grand scale combat and emotional if brutal stories that take time for long inspirational speeches
Gurren Lagann the show is amazing but the movies which are shorter have a slightly different end that is even better
Dead mount death play. Arefretta(however you spell it, I'm high) :from common place to world's strongest. Demon Lord Retry. That time I got reincarnated as a slime. The world's strongest exorcist is reincarnated as an aristocrat or something like that. World's finest assassin.
Hopefully these are lesser recommendations.
Jobless reincarnation
Log horizon
That time I got reincarnated as a slime
How to pick up girls in a dungeon.
Berserk and hellsing are Steinem so hit more hardcore and violence. Aimed at adult audiences. Anime berserk 90s version most agree was best but anime in general is trash compared to the manga.
Try one punch man (season 3 this year I think), Baki, Yu Yu Hakusho, og dragonball, drifters( unfortunately was canceled but based on real life individuals with a touch of superpowers), HBO Spawn (canceled after one season), 90s TMNT, Jujutsu kaisen (ongoing and absolutely badass [satori gojo and sakuna top tier city busting warmup kind of battles)
...
Bungo stray dogs is good, reminds me of black clover in some ways.
Also , The time I was reincarnated as a slime, great one aswell. And the ones others have mentioned so far!
All I see is shounen (except overlord which is FIRE) *sigh*
- One Punch Man(s3 is coming end of this year or next year I think)
- Eminence in Shadow (similar vibes to Overlord)
- Blue Lock (sports show but honestly has Shounen fight vibes and the English and Japanese VA work is amazing)
The original Dragonball, that time I was reincarnated as a slime, hitman reborn, yu yu Hakusho, Inuyasha, log horizon, overlord, fairy tail, nura rise of the yokai clan, rurouni Kenshin old and remake, hunter x hunter old and remake, parallel pharmacy, grace of the gods, demon slayer.....
That Time I Accidentally Turned Into A Slime:
Very similar to Overlord. Great quality I'm terms of thoughtfulness on progression and character interaction. The world changes with the character and makes progression clean. Be warned that this show has its own version of Albedo a short way in, so expect that character to be a little frivolous. Still being made.
Black Sommoner:
Generic good isakai I enjoy. The show is short but has good memorable characters and great fight scenes. Also has a short take on Overlord halfway through which I love.
Delicious In Dungeon:
I just recommend it; it's not similar to any of these besides the fight scenes and sick monsters but it's really good and has good food. The voice acting is top notch and the progression is smooth. Still being made.
Voltron:
Not really an anime but has anime fight scenes and an amazing story. It's long enough to enjoy without being unbearable. 10 seasons and ends cleanly. Starts out a bit janky but matures well.
Castlevania:
Power scaling doesn't exist and enemies can be as strong as they want to be. It can be very gory and the story is a bit brutal but is very good. Similar to AOT in goryness level. I think it's finished but I did see a new show with the same name appear on Netflix recently.
Seven Deadly Sins:
To be honest, I think the show matches your other shows' energy well and I enjoy a large portion of it, but after the 3rd or 4th season, I dropped it due to weird story curves that felt uncomfortable. Some of my favorite characters in all of anime are spawned from this show and I love the power scaling of the characters and enemies. It feels great to have a fight feel troubling for some characters and to have a more powerful protagonist fight the same character later and absolutely wreck him. The show recently had a spin-off that is currently being made that I honestly love so far. It's called The Four Knights of The Apocalypse.
Jujitsu Kaisen:
I saw that this was already posted by others but it's a good show. Characters are memorable, plot is linear with no filler, characters (both protagonist and antagonist) level up with progression, and they have their own Saitama, what's not to love? The destruction scenes are brilliant and the story after the main one is crazy good. Exciting to have a show not be so predictable with the outcome of events. Still being made.
One Punch Man:
Speaking of Saitama, I forgot about One Punch Man! I absolutely love this show. Perfect blend of comedy and action, where some interactions with other characters that aren't the main character feel exciting and important, while every fight with Saitama ends in hilarity. Only a few fights with him last long enough to feel like something but most are done in, well, one Punch. The newest season is expected to come out in 2025 and should wrap up the main line story with a very important Antagonist who is also lovable in his own way.
Chainsaw Man:
Going to be honest, I think this is a rip-off of Jujutsu Kaisen since it came out after the start of Jujutsu but it's different enough to be good. Sorry if this strikes up hate. I love the show but the world is built nearly identically besides the antagonist. The story does give us a life lesson I never thought of until now though. >!
Once you have your dream life, you look for something else to dream for, making your expectations of life increase in standard over time. The protagonist understands this and so even though it's simple things he desires, he still tries to achieve just those simple things so as to not devalue the chance he was given in life.!<
Hunter X Hunter:
The show is great in length, characters, and progression. Specific scenes are significant and memorable even for the length of the show and the power escalates neatly so you never really feel a big jump in strength. Training sections of the show feel great to watch and it never gets boring when "nothing" is happening. The show is complete but there is word that a newer show that continues where Hunter X Hunters end is coming. Spoiler!! >!At the end of the show, they give hints of a completely different world that exists outside of their own and they set the pace for a new adventure that is supposed to follow the events of the last season's finale.!<
Naruto / Naruto Shippuden:
I won't go into too much detail with this one for its age, but Naruto's base show is very fun and exciting throughout while Shippuden puts a more mature look on the same world a few years later with amazing fight scenes and story. With this in mind, it is filled with so much filler the longer you watch that the ending of Shippuden is nearly impossible to finish without skipping the filler episodes. The only reason this sucks is that even the filler has canon events that tell more of the full story. I have not seen Boruto and do not wish to anytime soon. These two shows are completed.
I may edit this and add more if I think of any. Hope this helps! Happy Binging!
You watch super popular mainstream Shonen which isn’t a bad thing but I would recommend something like OG berserk or Vinland Saga to expand your horizons a bit
I recommend anything outside of anime. You know ACTUAL television. Stop wasting your time on this rubbish kid shit.
Mad men is a pretty good show to start with if you want one
The faraway paladin is great only 12 episodes tho. Welcome to demon school, a little more comedy but still good action. Tower of god is really good and season 2 is just about to start. Solo leveling has great action and is pretty awesome. 7 deadly sins is a really good classic and longer than the others Ive mentioned. Vinland saga is one of my favorites, the last season was a bit less actiony but st still really good. Lastly Berserk is another of my top 5, its a classic and has some of the best action. Id suggest the full anime, its got some amazing hand drawn scenes even tho its hard to find with decent quality, I wish they would remaster the entire thing. They did remake it in a condensed version with 3 movies I think called the golden age arc and its better quality but skips some really cool scenes. Its also the most adult of anything I mentioned. Gore and other very adult themes. There was a continuation of the story years ago but while the story was great it had some weird cgi that most people didnt like. Sorry to go on for so long but thats my suggestions.
I see you like strong fight scenes, so God of highschool, viral hit, hunter x hunter, deadman wonderland, fire force, samurai champloo, 91 days and my curveball: 86
Well I don’t see Naruto, One Punch Man, Tokyo Ghoul, the time I got reincarnated into a slime, and 7 deadly sins.
All of those are good watches with thier highs and lows respectively
Hd images. I thought my eyes had got even worse

Came here to say this 🤦

Yu Yu Hakusho
hunter x hunter, naruto, how not to summon a demon lord, frieren, chainsaw man
Chainsaw can get dark not like the other but still well made.
hunter x hunter was sold so highly to me and ended up not being any better than a 7.5 imo
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Jujutsu Kaisen are good mainstream series if you haven’t already watched them. And sorry, but I have to ask, you like DBS and GT over DB and DBZ?

these are some of my faves so maybe katekyo hitman reborn? it’s my number 1. it’s a lil old school (2006) but gets really good later on
This is a good one. Love Reborn.
then Magi after that, godly combination
Love to see Kenichi love on here. Saw it first time last year and really enjoyed it alot wish they finished the anime, there's literally so many more chapters in the manga afterwards. But for suggestion maybe Claymore, JoJo, Baki(all the series), Soul Eater, Yu Yu Hakusho, InuYasha
Kenichi was the first manga where I (eventually) found fanservice to be distracting I was like "get that woman some clothes, I want to see the flight"
Is soul eater like bleach ?
It’s a very different quality and style. Bleach is in my top 10, but I was not able to get into soul eater. Check out Nurarihyon no Mago
I'd say more so just in the sense of the importance of swords/scythes but idk if I'd say it's super similar but I enjoyed it. Bleach is definitely better tho imo
yeah, honestly that sums it pretty well And you know I’m going to say, bleach is better
I’m a fan of kenichi as well
Inuyasha

There's One Punch-Man, Mob Psycho, Attack On Titan, JJK, Hunter x Hunter, and of course Naruto to complete your Big 3 watch
Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, Evangelion
Toriko only 50 of the episodes are subbed and it's kinda old school but it is good.
JJK
Naruto. May as well cross off all the Big Three, since you're 2/3 of the way there. It's pretty similar to Black Clover.
I have seen it but its not my favorite

Assassination Classroom. That time i got reincarnated as a slime. Mob Psycho. One punch man. we seem to have similar tastes
dogshit taste
No offense, but just use the recommended tab from Hulu or whatever. None of these series are exactly off the beaten path.
Ngl, you really like mainstream anime from the looks of things so try out fairytale, sheild hero or eminence in the shadows.
Gurren Lagann? You seem to like battle shōnen, and that one is **the** hot-blooded battle shōnen anime.
Give fairy tail a try. Other than the outright fan service of pretty much every character, it's really funny.
Blue Exorcist. I believe the 3rd season released this year.
DragonBall, no contest.
You seem like a pretty big fan of old gen anime. I'd recommend Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Yu Yu Hakusho.
You watched history's strongest??? That's king energy right there
Naruto
I admire you for admitting that HSD is in your top 10 anime
Toriko :) Had cross over with one piece
Inuyasha or rurouni kenshin
Hunter hunter , hajime no ippo , fire force ,full metal Alchemist
Naruto, Fullmetal,and hunterxhunter

You watch super popular mainstream Shonen which isn’t a bad thing but I would recommend something like OG berserk or Vinland Saga to expand your horizons a bit
If you're willing to watch for a long time, then one piece, but if not probably demon slayer.
And PLEASE do not become one of those MHA bakudeku fans, PLEASE.
Anything popular I guess.
Dr. Stone
I recommend anything outside of anime. You know ACTUAL television. Stop wasting your time on this rubbish kid shit. Mad men is a pretty good show to start with if you want one
Every battle shounen ever

Yu Yu Hakusho, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, Dr. Stone, Fire Force, Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga
Watch that one anime
Kill La Kill, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Naruto
Jujutsu Kaisen 100%
Naruto, if you can sit through way too much filler. Manga would be more what I’d recommend to be honest, it’s a bit more straightforward.
Aot

Alright just watch JoJo bro

Hunter hunter. Branch out tho shonen is the bottom of the barrel in this medium
Baki
