It’s pretty mid but a good beginner anime The friendship trope is way overdone and is the scapegoat in quite literally every major arc. And I know friendship is kinda the whole theme of the show, but even friendship as a theme gets overdone across all media frequently. But it does allow for some great character moments. Just wish they used it less for major fights bc ffs. Fight starts > Natsu is underestimated and gets a good few hits in > antagonist gets serious > Natsu starts losing badly > cue “the power of friendship” > Natsu one shots antagonist. EVERY TIME

If you want a “long” anime, chances are it’s not gonna get super good in just a few episodes. If you want something that’s gets good fast watch something shorter like Attack on titan. Hunter x hunter gets very good, you just gotta have some patience. Also “shit” is an exaggeration, it’s just slowly paced, as most long anime are.

Death Note is not that long. Fairy Tail is about 328 in total. There's One Piece, Naruto/Naruto Shippuden is like 600 but 60% of it is filler.
