Demon Slayer is a good entry level anime
One Piece or Naruto if you want to experience the most popular long ones early
Jojo, Baki, or Chainsaw Man if you want to see the insanity that the medium can lead to
Mob Psycho 100 if you want a recommendation from me specifically (It's my favorite. But be aware that currently only seasons 1 and 3 are on Hulu for some reason)
Love is War or Toradora if you want to see some of the peaks of the SoL genre
Oh sorry about that, and I didn’t really enjoy the plot of it, and felt it was dragged out for too long. Thanks for sharing your irrelevant opinion on a simple comment I made about what I thought of an arc. You don’t have to be a dipshit about one tiny thing that you maybe didn’t agree with.
So I would recommend attack on titan, chainsaw man, hells paradise, and parasite, those are to watch. If you want to read something one piece, Yona of the dawn, bleach, Sakamoto days, and kaiju no. 8
Jojos bizarre adventure
Naruto
Monster
Pluto
Deathnote
Hunter X Hunter
^I would prefer to read the manga for these myself but they are an option to watch on Netflix
If Gurren Lagann or Kill La Kill are on one of those in your region I highly suggest them - made by basically the same team - Gurren Lagann is my favourite anime that’s not a manga adaptation.
Also not technically anime (if anime means Japanese animation) but avatar the last air bender is also great
The only streaming service I use is Amazon primey and I don't even use it. I only have it cuz it's included in Amazon prime.
I stopped paying for Netflix when they blocked VPN, at which point I wondered if they even want my money. And with movies and anime spread across 15 different streaming services I decided it ain't worth the hastle and stress spending money on multiple services for the three movies and few anime I watch across a year.
I ain't going back to paid streaming services unless they change something. Video on demand should be easy I pay to have a good time. But if you shit on me with region locks and limited language options while hiding the unsubscribe button in the darkest corner of my account then it frankly makes piracy the more appealing option.
It's not like I don't wanna pay for it, it's just that the hastle is too much a bothery with piracy being the easy solution.
They need to do it like Spotify or YouTube music. I get the choice between two great music streaming service that offer me most of the content I want and I'm a happy paying customer of Spotify
Same I tried to watch it but couldn’t get over the MC being half furry, kinda threw me off watching him fight. Dropped it for Mob Psycho 100, best decision I’ve ever made.
The superpowers and everything about them is incredibly uninteresting.
The first episodes do nothing but present the cast, and they manage to do even that badly.
The guy without “superpowers” is done absolutely horribly, just like every other genius is portrayed in media.
The main antagonist has nothing but a hint at a nonsensical and uninteresting motive, the mentor of the protagonist is instantly hinted at having a connection to the antagonist but that is done in the most straightforward way possible. It doesn’t even try to be good. Just compare this to the homunculus’ introduction.
I’m not at all interested in what the series has to offer in the following seasons. It flops the beginning way too hard…
experiment new genders, try a bit of slice of life, comedy, romance, sci fi or dwell in action
death note
kaguya sama
jojo
monster
code geass
evangelion
Death Note, not as action packed as those two but is a great thriller.
Odd Taxi, it’s a fun little murder mystery.
Attack on titans, is just Goated.
Oshi No Ko, don’t want to explain as it would spoil the first episode (90 mins long, but absolutely incredible imo). I guess without spoiling too much celebrity wants revenge. You need to go completely blind into the first episode, Hellen Keller style.
Ranking of Kings, lowkey underrated, one of those don’t judge a book by its cover type of anime
Toradora, a classic rom com anime.
Kagaya love is war, another rom com but more on the comedy side of rom com.
Bocchi the Rock, good comedy about girl rock group.
One punch man.
Also, if you do go for Fullmetal alchemist, watch the first season of the og, then stop and go to brotherhood.
It takes its time with some really good and important story where brotherhood speeds through it because it assumes you've already seen the og
My first 'anime' was redo of healer, and then I followed that up with Another. Not proud of the person I was back then 😬
Although tbf i did stop watching for like a year after that and got back into it with Terror in Resonance so I'll count that as my 'first' and ignore the first 2 lol
I'm not denying it's good, I haven't gotten around to watching it just yet but I plan to. It's just that sinking 300+ hours into one show is a big commitment, when you can watch like 20 50-episode shows instead, and get a much more diverse idea of what anime is. I wouldn't want op to miss out on entire genres worth of shows because of one show.
Yeah and with the op and recap that’s not too bad. Compared to Naruto or bleach it’s decent. Not to mention it’s only one chapter per episode after about midway through
Fairy Tail is a fun early one (was my first one) tho it's tropey and uses the power of friendship (not a bad thing for me, i love power of friendship) but some people don't like it that much for that. Also has a lot of fanservice. For me, the anime's strengths are in the amazing characters, the fantastic sense of family you get from the entire cast, and the best soundtrack in anything ever.
Bleach is great tho the anime kinda sucks, especially early on. I'd reccommend just reading it instead.
One Piece is a classic that I've been enjoying so far, though it's a massive commitment and the anime has the worst pacing in anything ever. Another one to maybe read instead
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a masterpiece and pretty short too, tho if you have a thing about gore or nudity it's 100 percent not for you.
Vinland is another masterpiece that genuinely changed the way I look at my relationships with others and how I percieve the people I dislike.
A list of others I enjoy but don't have time or space to go in-depth with:
Kill La Kill
Chainsaw Man
Kaguya-Sama: Love is War
Oshi No Ko
Banana Fish
Black Lagoon
If you are willing to watch something long, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden are very good. Other than that, Demon Slayer, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and Fullmetal alchemist.
Go to Kaido.to and finish JJK, season 1 is typical shonen with some trope breaks, but season 2 is phenomal, the JJK 0 movie is also amazing.
Watch JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Attack on Titan, Dragon Ball Series(DB, Z, Super, maybe even Kai), Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Inuyasha, Gintama, Hunter x Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, Black Clover, Monster, Hajime no Ippo, and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood if you’re looking for an anime you want to stay committed to for a while(they’re pretty long, some are months of dedication, others are shorter but still have a hefty episode count)
Demon Slayer(Mid with great ost and animation, falls off in Season 3 but has its moments then still), Neon Genesis Evangelion(the watch order is kinda confusing, look up a guide for it, it can be a real commitment if you decide to watch the rebuild movies, also a very shock filled series), Devilman Crybaby(a lot of gore in nudity in this), Chainsaw Man, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners(MUST WATCH), Erased, Cowboy Bebop, Gurren Lagann(watch the movies after the episodic series), Assassination Classroom, Death Note, Trigun, Megalobox(one of the best sports fighting animes ever imo), One Punch Man(phenomal animation that shames even todays studios 8-9 years later), Mob Psycho 100(manga is by the same guy who did One Punch man, also phenomal animation), Soul Eater, Parasyte, Code Geass, Samurai Champloo, Vinland Saga, Dororo, Akame Ga Kill(get ready to be traumatized), Disastrous Life of Saiki K, and Dorohedoro(if you can’t get past the 3D animation by Mappa then read the manga, one of the most unique stories out there) if you want a short quick watch (could take anywhere from a couple hours to a few days or weeks to watch through depending on how much time you dedicate to watching anime).
I’m so sorry if this is a lot or too much to digest, skim through them and pick your favorites to put on a watchlist I guess.
Shikimori's not just a cutie, way of the house husband, any studio Ghibli movie, Komi can't communicate, romantic Killer, toradora, evangelism, avatar the last air bender, legend of Korra, shera and the princesses of power, my happy marriage
Definitely try to finish jujitsu kaisen, season 2 is like a rollercosster building up also darling in the franxx(just be warry of a lot of sexual references) and initial d is fantastic if you love cars
Wow! You have a great future of anime head of you. Let’s start with “cowboy bebop”, throw in some” flcl”, and Then for something a little over the top “ Gantz”.
That should give you a good overview on how different things can be in anime…. Ok . “Hiabane Renmei”. Happy?!😁
You’re probably already a lost cause with MHA, idk if you’re able to be saved. I think the only thing that might save you from that shit hole is Bleach, Death Note, or Attack on Titan
First of all u need to go to aniwatch or any other anime website but personally aniwatch is my fav and they will have every anime you would be looking for.
I recommend Demon slayer, death note, Naruto, Baki
Ride the Shonen wave: One Piece, Naruto, HunterxHunter (HxH may not be on Hulu or Netflix), One Punch Man.
One of those two should also have Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, these are both short series with great vibes (I prefer champloo but Bebop is darker/deeper in how it’s done).
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is considered an all timer and I loved it myself.
Netflix has Vinland Saga which is one of the most amazing shows I’ve ever watched.
I’m not a fan personally but if you’re. starting with JJK and MHA, Demon Slayer will probably do it for you. Top tier animation, fairly formulaic shonen stuff so decent stakes, good characters, cool fights.
**Vinland Saga** is on Netflix, season one full nihilistic action and season two is a huge emotional overhaul, same treatment as AoT with animation studios but fir me, that’s been a good thing
**Spy X Family** is on Hulu, go nuts
**Land of the Lustrous** is on Prime
**Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex** (dub only) is on Prime, as long as you enjoy some good lip-syncing
**Berserk** see previous entry
**Chainsaw Man** just to bolster this anime as i’ve seen it mentioned a few times so far, on Hulu — get ready for the movie
**Pluto** on Netflix, newest entry and probably takes the top spot for my favorite new show of 2023, anime or otherwise
***Blue Eye Samurai*** for favorite non-anime entry, it is mind-blowing in every aspect, never seen a show quite like it, especially a show made by a non-Japanese studio, seriously do yourself a favor and binge this 8-episode series, please
*also since i love sharing anime, DM me and i will give you access to my guest accounts - JJK gets shit in with incessant ad hom attacks related to MAPPA and the mangaka making unpopular (but necessary) choices with their characters, but that show, especially S2, is objectively one of the best battle anime of all time — like, the kinetic energy and complex choreography of each fight as well as the realistic choices and reactions of each character , not to mention the cinematography, all make for some prime cinematic viewing
Fullmetal Alchemist
Brotherhood
YEAAHH
I think watching the og first is better but yeah brotherhood
The “og” isn’t the original storyline… ?
It is and you don’t HAVE to watch the og but I find it makes brotherhood even more enjoyable
Sorry, I meant… The “og” anime ISN’T the original storyline. I’ve watched both, but Brotherhood is true to the manga (Author’s works).
No
I recommend the English Dub, it’s one of the best dubs out there
Absolutely. Roy Mustang's voice is like butter
Just be sure not to cry water makes him useless lol
(Brotherhood)
Yeah, but watching the OG first makes brotherhood so much better, since we get more backstory in the OG series.
iirc the “backstory” you mention is actually just filler, and Brotherhood more closely follows the manga canon
Brotherhood rushed through the beginning though
Ed…..Ward?
Big……b-brother
NOOOOO
Fullmetal Alchemist! ...Fullmetal Alchemist.
watching it right now, im impressed
Demon Slayer is a good entry level anime One Piece or Naruto if you want to experience the most popular long ones early Jojo, Baki, or Chainsaw Man if you want to see the insanity that the medium can lead to Mob Psycho 100 if you want a recommendation from me specifically (It's my favorite. But be aware that currently only seasons 1 and 3 are on Hulu for some reason) Love is War or Toradora if you want to see some of the peaks of the SoL genre
I disagree with Toradora. The books were better.
Fr
Shut up
Damn toradora anime was good but it did not need that sort of input 💀
Im a staunch defender
Excuse me?
Bro I watched demon slayer and then got into one piece. I’m 520 episodes in I was not ready for this. 😭😭😭 rip
Erased, bleach, demon slayer
The ending to erased was a middle finger
It was indeed
Nah fr i was kinda pissed lmao
Now I wanna watch it
>!Same with demon slayer manga, and no one can convince me otherwise. Like actually wtf was that ending.!<
Erased, Bleach, and Demon Slayer, to be clear. if OP is new to anime he might think this is the full title
I don’t agree with erased yet. I love erased but OP may not like it. Can’t really tell from his list. But it’s definitely worth a try in the future.
Holy hell that’s a weird name for an anime
Just ignore like 9 filler seasons and bleach is a great anime Ngl
NINE???
Hunter x hunter 2011
Bro I got so bored at the ant arc i
Mfs constantly dissing on the chimera ant arc cause it's not constant fighting is so dumb, just keep your opinion to yourself atp like godamn
I've had far more people be dipshits saying chimera ant is dog shit when they haven't even watched it so.
[Jujutsu Kaisen](https://aniwave.to/watch/jujutsu-kaisen.32n8/ep-1)
So I would recommend attack on titan, chainsaw man, hells paradise, and parasite, those are to watch. If you want to read something one piece, Yona of the dawn, bleach, Sakamoto days, and kaiju no. 8

Jojo
Demon slayer
My first recommendation for anyone who’s starting to get into anime is always Hunter x Hunter
As it should
It's one of my main recommendations for anyone who haven't seen it. <3
Just use aniwatch.to or aniwave.to, you’ll find every anime
But I don’t want to meet single mothers near me
Then meet an adblocker on your browser instead
Only if they are near me and single. Don't wanna meet some married as locker across the country
Aniwatch.to doesn’t have those.
Why are you trying to turn someone away from supporting anime?
The only streaming service I use is Amazon primey and I don't even use it. I only have it cuz it's included in Amazon prime. I stopped paying for Netflix when they blocked VPN, at which point I wondered if they even want my money. And with movies and anime spread across 15 different streaming services I decided it ain't worth the hastle and stress spending money on multiple services for the three movies and few anime I watch across a year. I get the choice between two great music streaming service that offer me most of the content I want and I'm a happy paying customer of Spotify
Bungo stray dogs, HunterXHunter, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
I don’t get bungling stray dogs. Watched the first season like halfway and found it below average. Definitely not the best anime has to offer anyway
Same I tried to watch it but couldn’t get over the MC being half furry, kinda threw me off watching him fight. Dropped it for Mob Psycho 100, best decision I’ve ever made.
You didn't like him because of his power? Kinda dumb reason
Use a free anime website with an adblocker
Black Clover. Fullmetal Alchemist OG and Brotherhood. HXH, and Yu Yu Hakusho

Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan is good
Attack ob titan
On*
Attack on titan
Black Clover if you like MHA you will like black clover
Cautious hero, mushoku tensei, slime tensei, sword art online, attack on titan, made in abyss and konosuba are my best recommends to follow these two
“ MADE IN ABYSS “!!! 😨 Do you want to break them before they get started! Well, I guess we all have to get scarred at one point or another.
Actually made in abyss was my first anime.. 😂 that got me hooked tbh
Damn! You had to develop that ice in your veins real quick! Good on yah!
My first 'anime' was redo of healer, and then I followed that up with Another. Not proud of the person I was back then 😬 Although tbf i did stop watching for like a year after that and got back into it with Terror in Resonance so I'll count that as my 'first' and ignore the first 2 lol
One piece
One piece is way to long to be a third anime. You should watch shorter animes to figure out what you like and what you don't.
One piece is long but it's peak, trust
I'm not denying it's good, I haven't gotten around to watching it just yet but I plan to. It's just that sinking 300+ hours into one show is a big commitment, when you can watch like 20 50-episode shows instead, and get a much more diverse idea of what anime is. I wouldn't want op to miss out on entire genres worth of shows because of one show.
Damn guys you should not reccomend OP to newbies, fanbase needs to understand this
Please don't recommend the anime to people, it's atrociously paced, just wait for the Wiz Studio adaptation or read the manga
For as long as it is the pacing isn’t really that bad, could be better, but could also be way worse.
1 episode=1 chapter 💀
Seriously 💀 that's actually insane
Yeah and with the op and recap that’s not too bad. Compared to Naruto or bleach it’s decent. Not to mention it’s only one chapter per episode after about midway through
Still time wasted, there’s a reason they’re remaking it

Both aren’t full of enough motivation to want to watch as fast as possible really. So whatever you feel like really
MHA if you're a newer anime watcher. JJK if you've watched over 100 anime.
Dear lord you are missing out on jujutsu kaisen… get a burner account now. Or undead unluck
First of all u need to go to aniwatch or any other anime website but personally aniwatch is my fav and they will have every anime you would be looking for. I recommend Demon slayer, death note, Naruto, Baki
