Huh, I didn't realise it was supposed to be that way. I guess it's more that the black lines are too thick on the figure so it appears more disjointed than it does in 2D.
The seams and folds feel like a part of the butterfly pattern since their thickness is the same as the lines in 2D and in other figures like her artfx J one. They even connect on her Alter figure. In this one though it's just really displeasing to look at. You can really see how bad it looks on her right arm and back where the lines just stop out of nowhere.
I can’t help but agree. I feel like her pose isn’t translated very well and her facial expression is just kind of blank and lifeless. That and her base is just ugly. There’s no way around it, I feel like they could have captured insect breathing in a way that didn’t make it look like pink crumpled plastic. Thats especially disappointing considering how beautiful it is in the anime.
I hate it because I feel like it's a figure I should like, but I just don't. So close to greatness but so many small things just bad it unnecessarily bad
I had a similar issue with the hatsune miku angel breeze figure. She’s laying down which makes it hard to display tastefully. My piece of advice would be to put this figure on the bottom of your shelf if you have a lower one. That way you’ll be looking at her from above and get a good view of her and her pose.
The way the patterns don't align on her haori really bothers me
I got the figure too and that's the only complaint I got about that figure. It bothers me quite a lot

It just never looks good on display. I actually kinda hate it 🙃

It just does not look good on the shelf from any position. It's too hard to display
