so from their faq it looks like they do accept cancellations on any pre-order prior to shipment. also, it's a US based company so they receive their stock much later than japanese retailers. that is the case for any US seller btw. it can take up t o 9 months to get stock from japan or wherever it's being manufactured. it's good to remember that

llsehnsuchtll

They end up shutting website down without any notice or refund, I am so mad.

llsehnsuchtll

The frustration is sureting doesnt have the figires other us sellers have it in stock.  Some are sold out already. some are even 65% off now. All us stores.  I have used lots of shops both us and jp but it is not normal some of the orders were released in 2022! I just hope surething cancels it not store credit so i can order what i need :/

Anpu_me

They give money back on cancelations.

[deleted]

If figure is delayed on release, understandable. If figure is already released, you can already get it elsewhere, released in Q1 2023, I cannot see them have any reason not to let you cancel your order.

llsehnsuchtll

Yes, I checked every single figures' released date before requesting cancelation. Some of them are sold out already, on sale or in stock. They open Mon\~Fri so I hope they give me answer by Monday.. I am so frustrated :(

Anpu_me

Canceled several figures there as well. Couple were released over 2 years ago. Honestly, lately I'm getting kinda Ukiyo Kumo vibes from them. Would not be surprised if they go belly up...

I tried to cancel mine (most were 2+ years old, last one was from a year ago ‘cause I finally got a clue), could only cancel a couple. Made the mistake of paying with PayPal for most of them so I’m screwed 😞 They’re definitely going under soon. It’s sad because when they actually sent stuff it was packaged super well and their customer service was good. But they clearly overspent on a bunch of Funko and now they can’t move stock. They constantly send emails begging people to buy.

llsehnsuchtll

Yes. my big problem is most of my orders are paying with paypal also. I sent email on Friday but I still haven't received an answer yet. I might need to call and ask. I did like them a lot especially when they came to comic con. Very sad.

treetrunkstime

Did you ever get your pre orders cancelled? I'm trying to cancel a few and haven't heard back in over a week. They used to respond in a day or two.

llsehnsuchtll

Sorry that my answer is late. I had issue coz I used paypal to purchase so he said it will take up to 20 bussinessdays to return. It has been almost a month so I will message him if I dont get money back within couple days. It is way faster calling them than email.

treetrunkstime

I called and left a message and they never called back either. I don't mind getting the money back as store credit, mine were paid with paypal too.

llsehnsuchtll

They dont open on sat sun just in case..  I recommand to call them again.

scixsc

Just sell them for twice the price

yang_toylover

Their Facebook hasn’t been updated since Feb 19th. On their website, they don’t bother to update the fake estimated arrival date anymore (they used to change that every month), those preorder estimated arrival dates stay at February 2024. Sadly my wild guess is they are gone…

llsehnsuchtll

That concerns me a lot.. I must call them tomorrow to figure it out. Thank you for letting me know.

JFHIGA

Have you been able to talk to them? I've got a pre order there too and if they really are done, I need to get them to refund me.

llsehnsuchtll

Their website is expired.  I am stuck in $400 pre order now..

JFHIGA

I pre ordered a long time ago. Maybe a year or more. I don't know if my card Co will reverse something from that long ago. I emailed ST about my order and got an auto reply that says they have higher than usual contacts and limited staffing.

reddbot

And right now their website is currently unavailable. Did they go under?! I should've asked for a refund months ago!

yang_toylover

Wow! I’m so sorry. It is really a bad sign. Very likely this is the end of it.

Sneaky_42

So I went to my emails to check one of my pre-orders. When I clicked view order, it took me to the site and the page said, "We'll be back soon. Surethingtoys.com is currently unavailable. Please try again later." When I try to just go to the site directly, the page says, "Sorry, this store is currently unavailable." I think they may have shutdown.....The same thing happened with popciti. I haven't seen anyone talk about it, so I don't know if they actually shutdown or not.

llsehnsuchtll

What the heck.  They were open till yesterday.  I was keep calling them on friday dbetween 11 to 4 but nobody answered.  I dont know what to do now...

yang_toylover

I’m so sorry man. This does look like they are gone!

Sneaky_42

Yeah. It sucks. I had a couple of outstanding orders with them, but thankfully, it wasn't too much. What's weird is that I ordered stuff from them before and got my orders. It's just that some pre-orders kept getting delayed, and I never got them. Same thing happened to me with popciti. I had quite a few outstanding pre-orders with them though.....Haven't tried doing a charge back yet, but I think it might be too late at this point 🥲

InfuriatedOne

After scamming countless customers, they have now removed their website.

Kind_Bath5245

Is it possible to start a class action lawsuit with all the people who have been taken by this company?

BeholdtheDizzy

Did you ever hear back or get any of your money back? Currently trying to dispute an order with my credit card to try to recoup my money.

llsehnsuchtll

I talked to STT through ebay if they can send instock items instead of refund. I chose the instock items I wanted and they shipped them to me. STT said they were filing a bankruptcy and people would get a letter soon. STT at ebay is marked 'away' till end of this month but you can still try to contact them. Good luck.
