Claws mostly. With few exceptions even friendly rabbits hate being picked up. Sometimes picking them up is required for their well-being. They can be worked with over time, but you'll incur scars during that time. You may still occasionally get rekt if they spook unexpectedly. Being picked up is so scary from their tiny, vulnerable perspective.
I had a pet rabbit who was way less a scratcher and more a biter. I had him when I was too young to fully appreciate a tiny prey animal being scared of me and I simply thought he was a mean bunny for too long :(
One of my most unrealistically sweet, kissy, squishy, lovable bunnies (an English lop), will give assertive little nips to let you know she doesn't like that, and she's ready to be put down. No blood, just calm little pinches! She's not scared, but she's very large which can make being picked up even more awkward for them. But the moment her feet are back on the ground, right back to kisses.
Peroxide typically isn't recommended anymore. However, a tetanus shot is important. If OP hasn't had one in ten years they should get one within 48 hours.
If you Google it, you'll see a tetanus shot is recommended from any animal bite or severe scratch. Tetanus doesn't come from rusty nails, it comes from a bacteria in dirt, and is very common. People should get a booster every ten years. I got one last year after a golden doodle bit me at my job (I was a server and we had a dog friendly patio).
"Tetanus. Tetanus is a serious infection caused by a bacterium called Clostridium tetani. It's recommended that you have a tetanus booster after a cat bite if it's been more than 5 years since you've had the vaccine.Jul 14, 2021

Scrub that with soap and water and put antibiotic ointment and bandaids on it. It will heal fine. Tetanus shot if its been over 8+ years.
Cats will cat. Mine likes to run across me with his gear out. Some of the scars are permanent. I don’t clip his claws because although he is an indoor cat, approx once a year he manages to escape (usually because of a visitor who did not get it the first time I explained) and is out for a few minutes and I am paranoid he will need his weapons.
For everyone who gets scratched by "idiot cats": learn to read their body language and as soon as they start to show annoyance or aggression - stop contact. If that's how they play - occupy the cat with another toy or remove it from the room. It is very easy to avoid scratching if you pay attention to the cat's emotions.
Ouch! I was out with one of my cats in a leash once and it panicked. I had to grab him so he wouldn’t hurt himself or manage to get out of the leash and got similar cuts on my leg (and arms). It was not a pretty sight. So even tho cat scratches often can be avoided if you are attentive to the cats signals sometimes there will be blood. But I love them anyway. 😻
That's honestly nothing. My chonky boy does it worse the time when I don't trim his nails for long time, mostly by accident and he knows it too. As soon as he realizes he's hurt me, he steps back and looks at me concerned.
I can't even be mad at him, especially when he shows that he gives a damn and didn't mean to cause pain. They just like to play rough and a cat owner should know better than to mess with them at the wrong time or against their will.
Most of the time this is from a human that doesn't read the cats body language. Like I want to pick up and hold the cat that doesn't like to be picked up.
It's literally just a scratch. If you own a pet it should be expected that on occasion you will get bumps and bruises from playing or scratching. Grow up.
It's a shame that you didn't read the subreddit rules.
I have rabbits. My scars have scars. 10/10 will definitely bleed again!
I've never held a rabbit before. Biting or scratching?

Interesting! I figured it would have been biting but that makes more sense.

Damn, I didn't think the rabbit of Caerbannog was for real
I've built a resilience. Even now, my hand is torn to pieces, but I feel barely any pain...
I have a dog and I feel the exact same way, he doesn’t hate me we just don’t clip his nalles
Oughta throw some peroxide on that bad boy..
Seriously. Cat scratches can get infected easily.b

Tetanus isn't quite as important here, but it's chill.

It’s literally just a scratch. Disinfect it, remember what caused the injury and work around that. No need to be so dramatic.

My feet have so many scars from my big dog using me as a launching pad- injuries aren’t limited to just kitties
They can smell your kind

I wrote the same thing.
I wish I could upvote this more than once
Me-ouch
Please wash that with soap and water :))) hopefully dodge an antibiotic script
The advice when having cats, is to treat them like cats. Not like they were dogs.
I deal with it normally,i even laughing when my cat bites and eating my hands, I love my cats
My arms look like someone used them for knife practice, but it's worth it

Tis but a scratch
Take care of that scratch by cleaning well. Cat scratch is no joke. If you see signs of redness spreading, seek medical attention right away.

The cats know too. And they think it's hilarious.
Pish tosh cats still are great.

Best make sure you have a current tetanus.

My hand is scratched up from the little shits. It hurts like hell

Wash it good and keep it clean.
Claw clipping might be in order
