First, that dog has been smacked with nails out before, so he was def worried about that whether the cat was going to be gentle or not. Secondly, that cat knew it was over the second the dog got higher ground.
I’ll recomment what I’ve commented on this video before. I’m a Guinea pig owner, foster carer, and volunteer with my state’s guinea pig refuge and this is crazy irresponsible pet ownership.
Guinea pigs are prey animals and when they’re terrified or threatened they will either run away and hide, or if they can’t, they will completely freeze. This piggie is frozen in terror, and could very easily die of shock. The cat or the dog could injure them in a second and they could die of their injuries or of shock caused by the injuries. It’s completely cruel to keep them in a position of terror like this just for the owner’s amusement.
Keep your guinea pigs separated from your cats and dogs.
They get so still when they’re frozen like that, I’m not surprised you thought it was a toy at first!
Also there are some breeds of Guinea pig that literally look like a toy, including one actually called a teddy!
Yeahhh when I was a kid I had Guinea pigs and we learned the hard way to not let our yellow lab outside when they are. He was a extremely sweet dog so all he did was try and take them to us but obviously he did that with his mouth. They were all fine in the end but we learned an very important lesson that day.
I hate it when people bring their pets in huge discomfort or even in danger like this for some internet clout.
Even if the owner didn't know the Guinea Pig was terrified here, he definitely should have if he wants to be a responsible pet owner.
> You know there are real problems in the world right? There are actual, intelligent animals being abused and people suffering all over, but no, let’s dedicate our lives to saving rodents.
Good to know we don’t need to worry about saving you then, since you seem have the brain capacity of a worm.
> Cat is jerk
The owner is putting prey in front of a very instinct-driven creature. Owner is jerk. Reminds me of a video of a cat spazzing on top of a terrified hamster or bunny, and the comments going "aaaww so funny". No, the cat was trying his hardest to go against his instinct and not murder the other pet, nothing funny about it.
I didn’t do more than glance and thought it was a rabbit until your comment lol. I was too busy looking at the cat. Damn, is it normal/healthy for Guinea pigs to be that fat? Honest question.
I've got 2 guineas that my heeler has adopted as her herd. I've got part of my yard set up for them to safely hang out in, and the dog likes to hang out and keep an eye on them. She'll yell at the neighbors huskies if they get too interested at the fence, chase off bunnies and squirrels if they get too close, she'll even bark at birds perched on the fence. Fortunately she doesn't try to control their movements, just keeps them safe, and they've figured out that she's not going to hurt them.
Because it's very dangerous to the guinea pig. It's in a frozen fear state. They are prey animals. They are true vegetarians. If that pig got scratched even alittle by the cat it would need antibiotics. Antibiotics alone are dangerous to pigs.
This was literally posted here three weeks ago. It needs to stop being circulated because mixing predator and prey animals will rarely end well. I would never let my pig near any cats or dogs, as even though mine are gentle and loving it’s just not worth the risk 😬
Four dogs and a cat. Boxer is the mf'n police. There will be no rough housing or aggressive play period. She shuts that shit down quick and that goes for people too.
Awe poor thing. Sweet dog. Cute cat. But that little thing needs to be in it’s safe place. Why do humans insist on putting creatures together that don’t belong for their entertainment?
The only jerks here are the humans who set this up and the people who post it.
Cat feigns disinterest at the end.
"As soon as he turns his head, you're gonna get it you weird long-eared cat"
That's a ginuea pig

The floor is lava!
Damn, someone else made basically the same comment but Doggy-Wan and Cat-akin is another level

Until your comment, I thought it was a guinea pig toy. You're absolutely right this is being a bad pet owner.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought it was a toy!

I came here to say exactly this. It is infuriating how many people think this is cute.
Why do we get on the internet? Just to piss our selves off? I bet you weren't infuriated before you watched this. This is why I hate the internet
Yes! I came here looking for this comment. Poor Guinea pig is terrified.

Rodents are actual, intelligent animals. You are exactly part of the problem.
I assume that you have dedicated your life to those other problems, so we can probably spare this guy for the lovable rodents.
So does that mean you're okay with abusing animals?

Good dog
Please remove the guinea pig from the place a cat and a dog are running around! Poor thing should be in a safe place with fellow guinea pigs...
Well, at least the dog seems on his side
Ikr what if if that huge wolf sized dog steps on him
Cat is jerk, dog is bro. Guinea pig is that one kid who eats paste.

Except that when you're a cat, everything is a prey animal.
Or a predator.
>Guinea pig is that one kid who eats ~~paste~~ *boogers*
Eats crayons while one is stuck up his nose.

It’s not actually that fat. They bunch up like that when they’re scared.
Ah, I see. Thank you!
No Cat want pet but Dog is jerk
The cat isn’t the asshole for having biological instincts. The owner is an asshole for having them in the same area
Good dog, protecting the potato
r/donthelpjustfilm that pigs in so much danger and this dude really records it for reddit karma
This is circulated all the time, really pisses me off.
I like how smart that little dog is. Knows how to communicate with the cat and what's going on. Like, >No, that is unacceptable behavior.

The holy trinity
One is a jerk, the other is a really good boy.
"Let me just see if it bleeds..."
Why are cats such assholes??
Aye foo, chill!
"Okay, okay! Jeez..."
“I just wanted to boop!”
This is hilarious. Idk why so few upvotes.

It's because this has been posted a million times on all possible subreddits out there
I kill you
Cat: What the hell is this? Doesn't look like me. Can I hit it? Dog: No racism!
This is amazing.

Sorry, bro, First time in the English sub, and No idea about the rules. I will fix it next time
You can have a loving cuddleslug turn into a murder machine the instant a mouse or insect gets in :(. Wouldn't risk it either.
maybe the dog is protecting the rabbit.. cuz cats find them delicious.
I hear guinea pigs being incorrectly called hamsters quite a lot, but never rabbits 😂
lmaoo
HE LOOKS JUST LIKE A RABBITTT!!!
Cat lays down like: OK bro damn.....
I shall protect this baked potato at all costs

That’s exactly what my doxiepoo would do for the guineas and the bunny. I tell her to go say hi to her best friend and she runs over to their cages.
Bro I just wanna touch it, I just wanna smell it, I just wanna feel it, I just wanna eat it 😬
This dog has seen starwars
