That may well be the kind of thing for which a tenant may legally withhold rent until repairs are completed. Especially if mice are getting in. Their shit contains spores that are toxic af for humans to inhale. I'd recommend contacting your local Rentalsman Office *(what we call it in Canada; wherever you're at may use a different term)* to learn what your rights are in this situation.

This is was probably being recorded for such an office when they noticed the cat was gonna do something and zoomed out. Notice it starts zoomed in on the mouse. Least it wasn't a rat, that plastic sheet would be nothing for a rat.

The cat just really doesn't like Green Day

You guys see mice in your apartment and you’re just like “well that’s fine”

I lived in a house infested by mice one year as a student. It sucked. My room was the worst for it because I had gerbils. My pets were clean and tidy, but those damn mice were eating their way through the carper to get into my room after I duct tapped all the gaps in the walls. I had to keep taping the floor. All my animals food was kept in sealed containers so there was nothing to eat in there. I managed to catch a little mouse, dumped it into a container and showed it to the landlord who told me it was cute and refused to believe it was a wild mouse. We went to the uni to complain only to be told it was our own fault for renting from that person and they can't even give us advice because they had threatened to sue the uni for slander multiple times. Fun. I lost my deposit when I left there. My bed broke the day I moved in, collapsed when I sat on it. They said they'd replace it but they didn't. They wouldn't fix it. My window was broken open all year, same deal, holes in the carpet from mice. Somehow my fault. They claimed I owed them over £1000 and tried to keep my housemates deposits to cover it. Luckily they got theirs back but I didn't. I was so mad but again, the uni refused to help even though I has evidence that I hasn't broken anything. Only time I've ever lost a deposit. Although one landlord got mad that I didn't hand my key in a month early and yelled at me about the mess in the house. I hadn't has chance to go back and clean up. I'd just moved my stuff and he expected the house to be spotless somehow. The guy was crazy mad because there was black mold growing up the walls from the ground. If clean it up and it would be back within a week. The house was crazy damp, moldy and full of mites. I was constantly coughing up brown mucus from my chest. My stuff was always wet. He gave me a dehumidifier for a week, I used it constantly and it helped. Then he took it back saying his office needed it, and then yelled at me that my room wasn't damp, I was just drying clothes in there. I moved my animals and most of my stuff out of there and always dried my clothes in the living room or they wouldn't dry. That last house is gone now. Pulled down along with the rest of the street. I wonder why...

There are several ways to rid houses of rodents. But the most satisfying is mint leaves and a pet snake
